Battery is a key mechanic throughout the Five Nights at Freddy’s franchise, including Five Nights at Freddy's VR: Help Wanted and Five Nights at Freddy's AR: Special Delivery.

In the Five Nights at Freddy's 1 challenge, the player has a limited battery for their power. And the more systems (such as doors and lights) are used at the same time, the faster the battery drains. Thus, the player must minimize their usage of power as much as possible to keep them running until 6 AM.

Dark Rooms

In the Dark Rooms challenge of Plushbaby, the battery is used for the Flashlight. It is not directly shown. However, there is a recharger that recharges the battery in order to continue in fending off the Plushbabies. If the player drains all the battery before it recharges, it will take a longer time before it can function again.

Afraid of the Dark

In the Plushkin challenge in the Afraid of the Dark section, there is a battery used for the flashlight. The mechanic is exactly the same as the Plushbaby challenge.

Danger! Keep Out!

A battery meter is used in Danger! Keep Out! for the Shocker. It looks the same as the battery in FNaF 1 challenge, but functions differently. The battery can only be drained when a shocker is used, and will run out once the shocker is used 5 times. The battery will be recharged after a while, but camera system and the shocker can't be used when it is recharging.

Five Nights at Freddy's AR: Special Delivery

The battery is a main mechanic for the game in which determines how many power is left in order to use the Flashlight and the Shocker. A percentage number is shown. The player can also purchase 3 extra batteries for 100 Faz-Coins. They will be recharged automatically once the battery runs out.
