The Cupcakes are small animatronic props typically found accompanying Chica and most of her various counterparts. They've made recurring appearances since the first game, having mostly minor roles of being props or easter-eggs, with the occasional role of an antagonist.
Characters[]
Mr. Cupcake[]

Mr. Cupcake's appearance in Special Delivery.
Mr. Cupcake, otherwise simply known as Cupcake, is a sentient cupcake animatronic who acts as the stage prop to Chica. He is a large cupcake with pink icing and a brown wrapper, as well as a yellow and white striped candle with an orange flame, yellow eyes, and two large buck teeth. In FNaF AR, he has a second set of teeth, which are only viewable when his mouth opens, one of which is yellow rather than white.
Behavior[]
In Help Wanted, Mr. Cupcake is mostly a prop, simply being held by Chica or an intractable prop that the player can pick up at either the Prize Counter or the FNaF 1 office. However, in the Parts and Service mode, he acts as a minor antagonist, as after removing all cockroaches from Chica, he'll begin running around the room and avoiding the player who is tasked with reattaching him to his plate in Chica's hand. Mr. Cupcake also occasionally appears in the game over screen, in which he has the chance to jumpscare the player if they remain still for too long.
In Freddy in Space 2, Mr. Cupcake acts primarily as Chica's main projectile, as well as a collectable power-up, in which it will heal the player 1 health point per second.
In Help Wanted 2, Mr. Cupcake makes two minor appearances. His primary appearance is inside of the Cupcake Bonanza machine, in which he'll simply watch the player. His other appearance is in Food Prep: Pizza Pizza Pizza, in which he'll accompany Glamrock Chica in watching the player as they prepare food.
Toy Cupcake[]

Toy Cupcake's appearance in Special Delivery.
Toy Cupcake is the toy variant of Cupcake who acts as Toy Chica's stage prop, being held by her at all times in many of its appearances. Toy Cupcake is the smallest of the Cupcakes, and features slightly different coloration, with a lighter brown cup and a blue striped candle instead of yellow. Unlike the original, this Cupcake features no teeth at all.
Nightmare Cupcake[]

Nightmare Cupcake's appearance in Help Wanted.
Nightmare Cupcake is the nightmarish variant of the original Cupcake, and is typically paired with Nightmare Chica. His appearance is mostly different from the other Cupcakes, as his top and bottom halves are now separated via a mouth with many razor-sharp teeth. His eyes are more orange in color, and he has large white pupils in the middle of them. Finally, his candlestick is a pale brown color, rather than a striped pattern.
Behavior[]
Unlike the other cupcakes, Nightmare Cupcake's appearance in Help Wanted is virtually separated from Nightmare Chica; with him acting more as a Hard Mode counterpart to Mr. Cupcake. Because of this, Nightmare Cupcake appears in two modes on Hardmode Difficulty: FNaF 1, where it replaced the normal cupcake next the monitor, and Parts and Service where Nightmare Cupcake observes the player as they fix Chica, while replacing the normal cupcake as part of the activities to complete the task. Like the original, the Nightmare Cupcake will jump off the plate and run around the room, forcing the player to catch it. Failure will result in a jumpscare from Chica.
Nightmare Cupcake also replaced Cupcake in the hard mode Game Over screen. Interacting with him will result in a short jumpscare, with no consequences besides startling the player.
Jack-O-Lantern[]

Pumpkin's appearance in Special Delivery.
Jack-O-Lantern is a unique prop given to Jack-O-Chica. While it is not technically a Cupcake, it could be considered one, as it acts as the Jack-O counterpart to Nightmare Cupcake. It's a large yellowish-orange pumpkin with a carved face, glowing orange interior, and large white pupils.
Jack-O-Lantern's appearances in Help Wanted and Special Delivery are primarily to act as a prop for Jack-O-Chica, in which she is always seen holding him. He also acted as the event icon for Special Delivery's Halloween Event.
Funtime Cupcake[]

Funtime Cupcake's appearance in Help Wanted 2.
Funtime Cupcake, referred to as "Mr. Cupcake" in Help Wanted 2, is the funtime variant of Mr. Cupcake that accompanies Funtime Chica. Like most Cupcake variants, he holds a head of pink icing and a brown body, though his brown is noticeably closer to yellow than most Cupcakes. He also holds a purple striped candle and large blue eyes. Finally, he has a large square-shaped mouth with rows of sharp teeth sticking out of it.
Behavior[]
Funtime Cupcake functions as an extension to Funtime Chica's mechanic in Help Wanted 2 during the Office: Funtime Gang level. In this level, he sits on the player's desk at all times and lures Funtime Chica to the office. The player must switch between which side of the desk he is on to force Chica down a different path to the office. If Funtime Chica makes it to the office, she'll take Funtime Cupcake before resetting her path. If she makes it back to the office with him in hand, she'll jumpscare the player.
Cupcake Skins[]
As both Chica and Toy Chica received Event Skins in Special Delivery, their cupcakes also received alternate appearances to match.
8-Bit Cupcake[]

The 8-Bit Cupcake is an "arcade"-themed counterpart of Toy Cupcake that heavily resembles Toy Cupcake, but designed to look like an 8-bit sprite. During encounters, 8-Bit Cupcake is replaced by Purple Cupcake, with its color changing into monochromatic purple shades, and its eyes turning black with magenta irises and yellow pupils.
Torch Cupcake[]

The Torch Cupcake is the Statue of Liberty-themed counterpart of Cupcake. It's an oxidized copper color, being a dull greenish color, and its eyes are orange rather than the usual yellow. It is occasionally lit on fire, referencing the torch of the Statue of Liberty.
Scorching Cupcake[]

The Scorched Cupcake is the scorched version of Cupcake, its design is near identical to the Cupcake except that it is completely burnt and is missing both its eyes.
Calavera Cupcake[]

Calavera Cupcake now barely resembles a cupcake at all, resembling a sugar skull more. It bares glowing red eyes, pink and blue face paint and golden teeth.
Moldy Cupcake[]

Moldy Cupcake is the variant of Cupcake carried around by Little Red Chica. This version of Cupcake is colored a light brown and is covered in green mold. Both its eyes are now gone, leaving completely hollow holes in their place, and its candle appears to be cut in half.
Giant Cupcake[]

In both Security Breach and its DLC RUIN, a giant Cupcake animatronic sits atop Chica's Bakery, and will watch the player's movements. While it doesn't do much of anything during the base game, in the RUIN DLC, its eyes begin to temporarily glow, and it uses a robotic arm to shove Cassie off a conveyor belt and onto the same level as Ruined Chica.
Glamrock Cupcake[]

Glamrock Cupcake's appearance in a promotional video
Glamrock Cupcake is the glamrock variant of Mr. Cupcake. Unlike the other Cupcake variants, he is not held by Glamrock Chica, and was never present in any of the games itself, but rather was only seen in a promotional video released by Steel Wool Studios. He looks identical to that of Mr. Cupcake, with the exception of the blue & green makeup around his eyes, and the candle being shaped like a 10 referencing FNaF's 10 year anniversary.
Trivia[]
- During the Hard Mode variant of her Parts and Service level, Chica is seen with Nightmare Cupcake instead of her actual cupcake.
- In the unused showtime performance, Chica is seen holding an older model of Mr. Cupcake, which goes entirely unused due to being a fan-made model that Steel Wool had put into the game.
- This same model is used for the icon for the cupcake toy at the Prize Counter.
- In the State Of Play trailer, there is an older version of the Mr Cupcake model, which appears to be more purple than the new model.
- Unlike most cupcakes, Toy Cupcake never moves in any of it's appearances, making it unclear as to if it's sentient like the others.
- Oddly, on the back of the box art for Help Wanted's physical release; Toy Chica seems to be holding the wrong cupcake, as she is holding Mr Cupcake who belongs to Chica.
- Jack-O-Lantern's appearances in Help Wanted and Special Delivery are drastically different to his original appearance, in which he was a green pumpkin rather than an orange one.
- The Cupcake skins that appeared in AR originally lacked names, receiving fan-names as replacements. Later on, the official Character Encyclopedia would use said names, making them official.
- While Glamrock Cupcake was never held by Glamrock Chica, she did once hold Mr. Cupcake in a piece of official art long before the creation/debut of Glamrock Cupcake.
- Glamrock Chica was also stated to have once held a Cupcake of her own in the Tales from the Pizzaplex story The Storyteller, in which it was revealed that Glamrock Chica once held more similarities other other Chica variations, including having a yellow coloration and her own Mr. Cupcake.
- Golden Cupcake makes a cameo in Freddy in Space 2, in which it's a counterpart to the Cupcake power-up achieved via the Cupcake Trophy.
