Endo-01 is an animatronic endoskeleton, and the model endoskeleton used for the Classic Animatronics. It debuted in Five Nights at Freddy's where it mostly acted as an easter egg and minor character, and would return in Five Nights at Freddy's VR: Help Wanted and Five Nights at Freddy's: Into the Pit to reprise these roles.

It would make a grander return as Bare Endo in Five Nights at Freddy's AR: Special Delivery with its first role as an active antagonist. A collection of prototype models of Endo-01 also make brief appearances in Five Nights at Freddy's: Secret of the Mimic. A variation of Endo-01 called Mori Endo also appears as a major part of the Animatronic's mori kill animation in Dead by Daylight's 36th chapter.

Appearances[]

FNaF VR: Help Wanted[]

Endo-01 is a dark metallic endoskeleton and is mostly similar to its appearance in the original game. It has a thin frame, with long skinny legs and arms, and a rectangular face with a small box-like mouth. Uniquely, the Gallery variation of the character lacks eyes revealing small red lights in its eye connectors, a tangle of thick metallic wires along its head, and light gray fingers with cylindrical joints and fingertips. Additionally, this variation has the feet of Endo-02 rather than the feet the character has in its original appearance.

FNaF AR: Special Delivery[]

Bare Endo's appearance is far closer to its original appearance in the first game than its Help Wanted counterpart. It is a light gray endoskeleton with a thin frame, long skinny legs and arms, and a rectangular face with a small box-like mouth. It has dark blue eyes, blocky white teeth, and wires connecting throughout its torso and legs. Its joints, and small bits of its limbs and face are darker in color, and its feet are rectangular with two trapezoidal shaped toes.

Two different prototype variations of Endo-01 appear in the RnD section of Murray's Costume Manor, with one appearing mostly identical to Endo-01's FNaF 1 design, but with less detail and a lighter coloration. It lacks color in its eyes, with them being a dull white with pinprick pupils, and appears dusty and overall unfinished.

The other design takes from Prototype Freddy, being covered in wires, yellow & black warning labels, and lacking a head. Notably, the latter of the two lacks fingers, and both have different feet compared to their finalized counterpart, having flatter sheets with wire-connected toes.

The many prototype endoskeletons appear in varying states of construction, with most lacking heads, limbs, or being a simple pile of disconnected parts.

History[]

Endo-01 was the endoskeleton model built for the new Freddy Fazbear's Pizza in FNaF 1 after the older pizzeria with the same name from FNaF 2 is closed. It is also shown on the backstage, where it will occasionally stare at the camera along with the empty mascot heads.

Endo-01's name was not actually revealed until FNaF World. Up until that point, it was simply referred to as "Endoskeleton".

Finally, in Ultimate Custom Night, it is seen that Endo-01 is the same endoskeleton model used for the Mediocre Melodies; a group of animatronics that appeared in Freddy Fazbear's Pizzaria Simulator as purchasable performers.

As revealed in FNaF: Secret of the Mimic, the first ever known incarnations of Endo-01 were made by Murray Co. in Murray's Costume Manor as a part of the unfinished Fazbear Project commission for Fazbear Entertainment.

Behavior[]

FNaF VR: Help Wanted[]

Endo-01 appeared in Ennard's Vent Repair level and Pizza Party in Night Terrors as a simple background prop. It also made its appearance in the FNaF 2 levels and Lolbit's level, altough rarely, but are only seen as cameos.

Bare Endo commonly appears as an antagonist, and can attack the player. It plays a huge role in the Workshop as it is the base model of all the animatronics. The player can apply different Plush Suits, CPUs, Remnants and MODs on it to change his appearance and behavior. It can be sent to salvage and collect Parts, and deploy it to attack other players.

Trivia[]

FNaF VR: Help Wanted[]

  • Upon closer inspection of the old Endo model In the FNaF 1 mode, It is extremely low-poly.
    • The model used was a fanmade model that was later replaced.
  • Similarly to Nightmare Endo, Endo-01 has a place in the Gallery in favor of other characters.
  • Endo oddly has no eyes compared to FNaF 1. This makes it a completely blank slate (blue eyes for a Freddy Endo, etc.)
    • As well as this, its head is covered in wires that weren't originally there in previous appearances.
  • Sometimes, in Funtime Foxy and Lolbit's levels, an endoskeleton will appear in the room.
  • At one point, there was a fan-model of Endo-01 in the backstage of the FNaF 1 Challenge. However, it was later patched out and replaced by it's actual model.

FNaF AR: Special Delivery[]

  • In FNaF AR, Bare Endo is an active antagonist, in contrast to the other games, where it was usually a background detail.
  • Endoskeletons are used to unlock other characters in the Workshop via giving them plushsuits.
  • Within the files, Bare Endo has an unused icon that's blacked out with a question mark over it similar to what appears for unobtained plushsuits.
    • This image is never used in-game because the player is required to have a Bare Endo to access the workshop. It is unknown why it is there.
      • Bare Endo also has a darkened CPU icon, which also goes completely unused.
