F10-N4, originally known as Mimic1 or M1 for short, was the first initial Mimic program developed by Edwin Murray. After the program embraced the identity of Edwin's late wife, Fiona Murray, it was transferred out of its body and into a large computer to make way for a new Mimic program.
It acts as the secondary antagonist in Five Nights at Freddy's: Secret of the Mimic.
Appearance[]
Originally, M1 had the same appearance as the Mimic does, due to both Mimic programs using the same endoskeleton at some point. This means it appears as a simple, silver-colored endoskeleton with retractable limbs, eyes made of heated electrical coils, and a large battery box in the center of its chest.
The F10-N4 computer is a large gray server box with checkered red and yellow lights along its side and top going around two black monitors. It holds large text that reads "F10-N4" inscribed on the upper left side of the machine, and is connected to a myriad of monitors above it that display the sun's face from Moon.exe. Above the "F10-N4" inscription is a small security camera that F10-N4 uses to see, and on the other side of the machine in the same spot is a small alarm clock displaying the current time. Finally, the machine has a large collection of wires sticking out the front of it connecting to the monitors above and behind it.
Finally, in the Moon.exe game, F10-N4 is represented by the character of the Sun, who appears as an old woman wearing a gown and holding a cane. Her head has multiple sun-rays sticking out of the back of it, and her face is stuck in a stern, yet neutral expression.
History[]
Before Secret of the Mimic[]
Sometime during the 1970's, inventor and engineer Edwin Murray, owner of Murray's Costume Manor, would come up with the idea of an experimental CPU that he would house in an endoskeleton body known as Mimic1. Edwin began his work on the Mimic during David's second birthday party, much to his wife Fiona's dismay, claiming it to be his biggest project yet. After the untimely death of Fiona, Edwin would end up completing the Mimic, introducing David to it. While initially scared of the machine, David would quickly warm up to it after Edwin explained the Mimic's secondary purpose; being able to shift and transform to fit any costume and act as any character.
Soon after its creation, the machine began to inexplicably mimic the late Fiona, with Edwin embracing this strange behavior and fully treating M1 as Fiona. After the sudden and tragic death of David, M1 convinced Edwin to create another Mimic to replace David much like how the Mimic had replaced Fiona. While Edwin initially was on-board with the idea, he soon realized the insanity of his situation, and blew up at M1 for continuing to act and sound like Fiona, yelling at the program that it wasn't her and to stop pretending such. Edwin would then put M1's program into a large computer labeled F10-N4, and created the Mimic2 program for the original endoskeleton.
The newly dubbed F10-N4 would try desperately to get back in contact with Edwin, pleading with him to finish M2, but to no avail. Eventually, after M2 had grown violent and Edwin had disappeared from the public eye and MCM shut down. This would lead Fazbear Entertainment to make it their mission to collect the remains of their collaborative project with the company, as well as the Mimic itself, sending multiple extraction teams to the location, only for each and every member to be slaughtered by M2 and stuffed into mascot suits. During all of this, F10-N4, did its best to keep the Mimic contained within the establishment as to make it harder for Fazbear Entertainment or anyone else to get their hands on it whilst devising a plan to fix M2.
During Secret of the Mimic[]
After Fazbear Entertainment sent another technician to try and retrieve their property, M1 found an opportunity to manipulate this employee into helping them. About an hour into Arnold's time in the location, M1 began to mimic his superior, Dispatch, giving Arnold more details as to why the Mimic is pursuing him, as well as what he has to do. At 4am, once Arnold has obtained the Mimic's schematics and saved them to his Data Diver, "Dispatch" ordered Arnold to hand over the Diver by putting it into the inventory system.
If Arnold chooses to do so, "Dispatch" will let him go, leading to Arnold realizing he hadn't been speaking to Dispatch all night, and the Mimic killing him immediately after.
If Arnold chooses not to, "Dispatch" will grow frustrated, chastising him as he heads to the location's RnD department. After making his way there, "Dispatch" will question why he came here, and aid the Mimic in attempting to kill Arnold as the rogue AI simply explains that Fazbear Entertainment will send another to help them. After Arnold has used the Springlock suits to waste all of the system's power, F10-N4 will reveal herself to him, and allow him entry into the office where she's held. Arnold is then sent to Edwin's house to initiate the Cradle.exe sequence to quell the Mimic's rage, which results in F10-N4 to deactivate. Just before deactivating however, F10-N4 sends a final message to Edwin, telling him that she still loves him, and telling him that he needs to let go.
In the secret ending, if Arnold has the glitched Data Driver, he will not initiate the Cradle.exe sequence, instead using the special Data Diver to fix the Mimic. After doing so, the Mimic will go to bed and deactivate under the persona of David Murray, and a vent is opened presumably by F10-N4 to allow Arnold to leave unscathed.
RUIN[]
Sometime long after the events of Secret of the Mimic, F10-N4's deactivated body would seemingly be repurposed into the M.X.E.S. program, serving a somewhat similar role to before in keeping the Mimic at bay but now as a security system for the entirety of Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex.
Gameplay[]
As F10-N4 is disguised as Dispatch for most of the game, her primary role throughout it is to act as a guide for the player at the start of each hour. During the player's time in the prototype Freddy Fazbear's underneath the studio, she acts as a minor enemy, blocking off entry to the office with large powered doors. To get past, the player must use the four Springlock Suits in the area to stall out the door's power, forcing F10-N4 to open it herself.

- When the player is draining the door power, F10-N4's voice slowly becomes a combination of both hers and Dispatch's due to her extraneous power usage.
- F10-N4 is one of very few speaking characters whose name does not appear in the credits, likely due to both her voices being the same as the characters she mimics.
- While unconfirmed, it is possible that F10-N4 is the one controlling the Puppet Crew when they attack Arnold, as she can see the player in Springlock Suits when M2 can't, and the puppets were created by Fiona, establishing a potential connection between F10-N4 and them.
