The Skin System is a new mechanic introduced in Five Nights at Freddy's AR: Special Delivery. It introduces new Event Skins for different animatronics, and is overall used in Seasonal Events. A total of 39 skins (excluding Clockwork Minireena, the Cupcakes or alternate encounter appearances) were added to the game before its closure.

Description[]

Animatronic skins are only available through limited time, and the player can encounter them randomly or with their lures. Their individual plushsuits and lures will rarely be given as rewards for defeating them. The player can also purchase their character packs in the store with Faz Coins or in-app purchases. While they hold different names and appearances, Skins are different from characters as they lack unique mechanics or voices.

St. Patrick's Day Animatronics[]

The St. Patrick's Day event only added a single skin to FNaF: AR in the form of Shamrock Freddy.

Name Plush Suit Based On Description Date Introduced

Shamrock Freddy[]

Shamrock Freddy

Shamrock Freddy, also known as Shamrock Skin in-game and as Freddy Shamrock in the files. He was the first skin to be released in the game, and by extension, the first skin for Freddy Fazbear.

Appearance[]

Shamrock Freddy appears to be similar to the nature of Freddy Fazbear, almost sharing the same model with him. He has clove green in complexion, lime green in irises, white scleras, has a dark green leprechaun-themed hat, a golden beaded necklace and a dark green bowtie. His microphone is now a golden-green color and his top hat is replaced with a leprechaun hat. He represents on the materials and nature on celebrating the St. Patrick's Day.

Trivia[]

  • Shamrock Freddy is the only skin to have an event named after him, being the Shamrock Shakedown mini event.
  • In his profile pack in the shop, his eyes have strangely been replaced with the dollar symbol. Despite this, when selecting the icon, his eyes are normal.
  • Shamrock Freddy obtained a new plushsuit package and shop render during the Mashup Event to fit with the new style of the graphics.
    • As well as this, his eyes are for some reason blue instead of green within the graphics.

Easter Animatronics[]

Between both the Easter 2020 Event and the Hop Chocolate Event, 3 easter-themed animatronic skins were introduced in FNaF: AR.

Chocolate Bonnie[]

Chocolatebonniear

Chocolate Bonnie was the first Easter-themed skin in the game, and the first skin for Bonnie the Rabbit. He was introduced in the Easter 2020 event, and according to E-Mails released during the event, he is notably aggressive.[1]

Appearance[]

His overall look is similar to the original Bonnie, but his skin color has changed to brown, as he is supposedly made out of chocolate. Part of his left ear, body, and left leg are missing, with large bite marks. Chocolate Bonnie's eyes are colored has an orange-red, his bowtie is now light blue, and he has colorful buttons that look similar to pieces of candy. Some cracks can be seen on his body, especially where he is "bitten".

Easter Bonnie[]

Easter Bunny

Easter Bonnie was the second skin for the Easter 2020 event, and the second skin for Bonnie overall.

Appearance[]

His overall look is similar to the original Bonnie, but his skin color has changed to white to resemble the color of a common depiction of a real life rabbit. His stomach is designed to look like an Easter egg. There is a tag on his left ear which says "Happy Easter", with the "S" being a different color than the rest of the letters. His nose is now purple, and his bow-tie is bright yellow.

Easter Bonnie's eyes have a common error of being the wrong color. His eyes are normally meant to be a light blue, however when he first released, in-game his eyes were green. While his eyes were eventually changed to match his assets and promotional material, they would change color again to be orange in the store render for his 3D profile icon.

Melted Chocolate Bonnie[]

MeltedChocoBonnieAmqericaRender

Melted Chocolate Bonnie is a melted variant of Chocolate Bonnie released as the only skin in the Hop Chocolate event in 2021. He is the fourth skin of Bonnie and the first skin of 2021 to not be released alongside another. He is also the first skin to be an enhanced version of a previous one.

Appearance[]

Melted Chocolate Bonnie looks near identical to Chocolate Bonnie, except he is, as expected, melted. He has way more holes than the original Chocolate Bonnie, some of which show more of his endoskeleton, and is now a slightly darker shade of brown. On his upper left arm, lower right arm and left hand, various small sprinkles can be seen. His left eye is missing, while his right is now black with a glowing orange pupil, and the upper bit of his right ear is entirely missing. Finally, the melted part of his head underneath his left ear has a bit of a darker chocolate syrup-like material around it.

Trivia[]

  • All three Easter-themed skins introduced in the game are skins for Bonnie.
    • This is most likely due to the close association rabbits have with the holiday.
  • Melted Chocolate Bonnie is the first and only skin to be an edited version of a previously added skin.
  • Despite having an older styled render for his plushsuit package, Chocolate Bonnie never received an updated render like Shamrock Freddy did.
  • Chocolate Bonnie, along with Flaming Springtrap, does not appear in the daily reward icon for the first Mashup Event.
  • If the "S" is removed from the tag on Easter Bonnie's ear, the words will spell "Happy Eater".
  • Melted Chocolate Bonnie when he was first released was bugged to where he was always visible to the player when charging, making it unclear as to when the player should shock him or not.
  • Melted Chocolate Bonnie actually reuses the exact same workshop animation as Jack-O-Bonnie.

Arcade Mayhem Animatronics[]

The Arcade Mayhem added three new skins to FNaF: AR, and introduced the concept of battle-exclusive appearances along with them.

VR Toy Freddy[]

VR Toy Freddyram

VR Toy Freddy is a neon-colored skin of Toy Freddy and was the first of three skins from the Arcade Mayhem event to arrive. He is also the first skin of Toy Freddy in Five Nights at Freddy's AR: Special Delivery. During encounters, he takes on an alternate appearance known as Livewire Toy Freddy, and is the first animatronic skin to have this quirk.

Appearance[]

VR Toy Freddy Active ram

His model is entirely the same as Toy Freddy's, albeit with the key difference of him wearing VR Goggles. His entire body, including his accessories and microphone, hold a neon purple and black neon coloration. He is textured with few cyber-styled circuit lines that move across his body, and wears a virtual-reality headset.

During encounters, he becomes Livewire Toy Freddy, who has a similar appearance, but is colored red and yellow, and is missing his VR headset. With the headset gone, his eyes can be seen, revealing them to be bright glowing a bright lime green with multiple vein-like circuits of the same color jotting out from them.

Highscore Toy Chica[]

Ec20ojdvauy41

Highscore Toy Chica is a neon-colored skin of Toy Chica and was the second skin in the Arcade Mayhem event. She is the first skin of Toy Chica in FNaF: AR, and her 8-Bit Cupcake is the first skin for any Cupcake character in the game. During encounters, she takes on an alternate appearance known as Game-Over Toy Chica.

Appearance[]

Game Over Toy Chica-1

Highscore Toy Chica is a neon bluish and black color with a glowing blue aura around her. Her forearms have a much lighter blue coloration to them, and bother her arms and legs have pixelated textures to them. Her eyes are bright yellow-orange colored rings, and her bib replaces the usual "LET'S PARTY!" text of Toy Chica's with the words "HIGH SCORE", which are spelt in a pixel font which is the same color as her eyes.

During encounters, she becomes Game-Over Toy Chica, who has a similar appearance to Highscore Toy Chica, except shares the trait of regular Toy Chica of removing her beak. Her head feathers, arms, legs and torso take on a bright red coloration with a wireframe pattern, while her head, hands, feet and pelvis keep their blue coloration, but add on the red wire-frame pattern on top of them. Her eyes now glow with bright red pupils, and her bib reads "GAME OVER" in the bright red text rather than the previously yellow "HIGH SCORE".

8-Bit Cupcake[]

8-Bit Cupcake is the first skin for Toy Cupcake and holds an identical appearance to that of the original, albeit with a 2-dimensional & 8-Bit appearance. He glows with a bright yellow outline, and has a square flame that floats above the candle rather than act as a part of it. During encounters, 8-Bit Cupcake takes on a different appearance in which it becomes a mix of bright purples and magentas with a pink glow. His eyes' sclera also become black, with purple irises and yellow pupils.

System Error Toy Bonnie[]

SEToyBonnie

System Error Toy Bonnie is a bright neon-colored skin of Toy Bonnie. He is the first skin for Toy Bonnie, and the third and final skin for the Arcade Mayhem Event. He is the only Arcade Mayhem skin to lack an attack mode.

Appearance[]

He shares the same model as Toy Bonnie, but with a few minor differences in coloration. His general color is a neon reddish-orange, with lines that go through his entire body, similar to the screen of an old CRT TV. His bowtie shares these traits, however is a slightly lighter, almost orange color compared to the red of his body. He also has a pixelated, pixelated effect coming from his entire body at all times. His mouth and eyes gleam yellow, a red "SYSTEM ERROR" text printed on his stomach, and his eyebrows, whisker spots, and nose are all glowing white.

Trivia[]

  • VR Toy Freddy could potentially be a nod to Ultimate Custom Night, in which Toy Freddy's mechanic centered around him playing a video game.
  • Strangely, despite being in the Arcade Mayhem merch line, System Error Toy Bonnie was the only character to not feature his own shirt.
  • The attack modes of the Arcade Mayhem animatronics did not have an official name, leading to the fan names "Attack Mode Toy Freddy" and "Game-Over Toy Chica".
    • Eventually however, with the release of the Arcade Mayhem merchandise, Funko gave the name "Livewire Toy Freddy" to Toy Freddy's attack mode.
      • Toy Chica's attack mode still lacks an official name however, as she did not get merch.

Wasteland Animatronics[]

The Wasteland Event introduced two skins to FNaF: AR.

Radioactive Foxy[]

Radioactive Foxy

Radioactive Foxy is the brightly colored skin of Foxy that was the first skin to be added in the Wasteland Event. It is also Foxy's first skin in the game.

Appearance[]

Radioactive Foxy looks almost identical to Foxy. The only differences shown are his neon green colored, translucent body that makes his endoskeleton fairly visible. His stomach features a faint radiation symbol, and he wields a dual hook made up of a different design compared to Foxy's normal hook. While not missing it, his right eye is colored entirely black, and his left eye is colored a bright, glowing yellow.

Toxic Springtrap[]

Toxic Springtrap

Toxic Springtrap was the second and final skin introduced in the Wasteland event, and the first skin for Springtrap in FNaF: AR.

Appearance[]

Toxic Springtrap has a repulsive appearance, being covered in large, tumor-like warts, tentacle-like veins, and multiple moldy patches. The infectious-looking traits, including his corpse, were shaded with purple and indigo tints as a possible reminiscent to the iconic color of his human form's minigame appearance. His entire body is constantly shrouded in purple fumes, and part of his head is particularly covered in the purple vein-like growths.

Trivia[]

  • From Radioactive Foxy onward, nearly every skin began to have unique workshop animations instead of sharing the same animation as their normal counterparts.
  • Radioactive Foxy returns as "Poison Foxy" in the game Security Breach Fury's Rage.
  • Radioactive Foxy's mystery mini strangely uses Mangle's mystery mini mold rather than Foxy's, as seen by the eyelashes on the figure.
  • Toxic Springtrap's icon uses an edited version of Plushtrap's icon instead of Springtrap's.

4th of July Animatronics[]

The Summer of 2020 Event introduced two 4th of July themed animatronic skins.

Firework Freddy[]

Firework Freddy

Firework Freddy is a summer-themed skin of Freddy dedicated for United State's Independence Day (July the 4th) in Five Nights at Freddy's AR: Special Delivery. The skin was the first of the Summer Event, and the second, and last, skin for Freddy Fazbear.

Appearance[]

He wears a light blue-colored tank with star patterns on it and a grey shorts, as well as a red bowtie and a top hat with red and white stripes and stars. He also appears to be slightly fatter than regular Freddy. The most notable aspect of the design of Firework Freddy is that he holds a large firecracker that is ignited, and he also has a sunglasses on him.

Liberty Chica[]

Ar Liberty Chica

Liberty Chica is a US themed skin that was the second and last skin introduced for the 2020 Summer Event, as well as the first skin for Chica. Her flaming Cupcake companion is named Torch Cupcake, who is the first skin for the base Mr. Cupcake.

Appearance[]

Liberty Chica is designed to be identical to that of the Statue of Liberty in United States. She is made out of oxidized cooper, being a dull greenish color. Liberty Chica also wields a carbon book which reads “July IV, MDCCLXXVI.” These are Roman Numerals, and they translate to “July 4th, 1776,” the day the Declaration of Independence was approved and adopted by the Second Continental Congress. Just like her regular counterpart, Liberty Chica holds her own Cupcake, being Torch Cupcake. Torch Cupcake is decorated to appear the same as as Liberty Chica does with the same dull green coloration, with the only difference being that he typically appears on fire.

Trivia[]

  • Firework Freddy and Liberty Chica were the first skins to have different charging animations than their normal counterparts.
  • Despite being a skin of Freddy, Firework Freddy is completely absent from the Freddy Festival Event.
  • Despite all promotional material and artwork depicting Liberty Chica's cupcake as on fire, in game it appears to only be slightly glowing orange.

Flamethrower Bare Endo[]

Flamethrower Bare Endo Spence Render

Flamethrower Bare Endo, also simply known as Flamethrower Endo, was the first animatronic of the Heatwave Animatronics who debuted in the Sizzling Summer event. It is also the first skin for Bare Endo.

Appearance[]

Flamethrower Bare Endo is identical to that of Endo-01, but is textured to appear like a heated piece of metal, glowing yellow with certain areas & joints being a burnt brown color. It is equipped with a large bronze welding mask, and two large, heated gas canisters on its back. Said canisters are attached to the flamethrower that makes up its right arm. It's eyes glow a bright blue behind the soot-covered visor on it's welding mask.

Broiler Baby[]

BoilerBabyRender

Broiler Baby, alternatively known as Oven Baby in the files, was the second Heatwave Animatronic in the Sizzling Summer event, and the first skin for Circus Baby.

Appearance[]

Broiler Baby's appearance is identical to that of Circus Baby's, except she is much darker in color, being closer to gray than white, and covered in soot. Her hair is colored a dark brown, and her arms and legs are colored mostly black. Her eyes are colored red, and endoskeleton is molten in appearance, glowing a bright red with dark bits throughout, almost like it was magma. Instead of the microphone usually held by Baby, Broiler Baby holds a large coal shovel. Finally, the most notable aspect of her design is the large furnace on her stomach, which is constantly lit with burning coal.

Scorching Chica[]

Scorching-Chica

Scorching Chica is the third skin in the Sizzling Summer event, and the second skin for Chica overall. Her Cupcake companion is named Scorching Cupcake.

Appearance[]

Scorching Chica is mostly identical to regular Chica, except she is made entirely out of a scorching, molten magma-like material. Her body is colored black with red vein-like cracks covering her whole body. Bits of fire and magma can be seen through these cracks, and parts of Scorching Chica are constantly on fire. Her eyes are black with orange irises, but occasionally they change to red irises. Because of the material she's made of, none of her joints or endoskeleton are visible, as her arms, legs, and even her fingers have melted together.

Her companion, Scorching Cupcake, is identical to regular Mr. Cupcake, but is colored a black, charcoal-like color, and is missing both it's eyes. The only part of Scorching Cupcake that isn't the black color is the flame on it's candle, which is a bright yellow.

Flaming Springtrap[]

Flaming Springtrap Ramchoops

Flaming Springtrap is the final Heatwave Animatronic skin in the Sizzling Summer event, and the second overall skin for Springtrap.

Appearance[]

Flaming Springtrap is almost entirely the same as Springtrap, apart from his dark vermillion coloration, and the fact that he is always on fire. His endoskeleton is a bright yellow similar to Flamethrower Bare Endo's body, and his hands hold a gradient pattern that fades away from the dark vermillion coloration of the main body, to a bright glowing orange color. The only other notable differences in the two are that Flaming Springtrap's eyes are bright red, and that he is missing the button usually seen on Springtrap's chest.

Trivia[]

  • Following the pattern of the previous two events introducing unique animations for skins, the Heatwave Animatronics are the first skins to have unique haywire animations.
  • Upon release, Flamethrower Bare Endo was listed separately from Bare Endo in the workshop.
    • This needed to happen due to an issue with stacking Endo's plushsuits, most likely caused by Bare Endo being the template for characters.
    • This was fixed in a later update.
      • Despite being fixed for Flamethrower Bare Endo, Dark Water Bare Endo experienced the same thing when it released.
  • If one looks closer at Broiler Baby's endoskeleton, it appears the the tubes and metal that make it up have melted together.
  • Broiler Baby's shop render is strangely brightened up.
  • Flaming Springtrap is one of only two skins to have a unique jumpscare noise.
    • The other is Woodland Toy Freddy.
  • Due to unique effects being removed from animatronics during encounters, Flaming Springtrap is ironically not flaming during his encounter.
  • Strangely, Flaming Springtrap is the only skin to have both a different defeat and different jumpscare animation.

RingmasterfoxyScrappyrender

Ringmaster Foxy is the circus-themed skin for Foxy who acts as the first skin, and the mascot for the Dark Circus event. Ringmaster Foxy is also the second skin for Foxy overall.

Appearance[]

Ringmaster Foxy looks similar to Foxy, however features many changes. His fur is now a light silver color and he wears a red jacket connected with a golden chain. His pants being turned charcoal colored, and his eye is light yellow. He wears a large black top-hat with three red strips across the front connected by small skulls. He also wears a large red coat with golden accents, and a chain belt with three skulls and a key ring. On his chest is a glowing, orange, floral-like pattern around the tear. Finally, his hook has been replaced with a long whip that glows orange on the end.

Gameplay[]

Ringmaster Foxy appears as the first antagonist for the Dark Circus: Encore! DLC, in which he is found early-on in the level standing on-stage. After the player has completed all the puzzles in his area, he'll charge at them and begin an encounter. This encounter, much like all other Animatronic skins, is the same mechanically as the base character of Foxy. Once he's defeated, the player can move on to tackling the remaining puzzles.

Magician Mangle[]

MagicianMangleWikirender

Magician Mangle is the second skin introduced in the Dark Circus event, and the first overall skin for Mangle.

Appearance[]

Magician Mangle has an identical appearance to the Mangle, but holds various changes. Their white shell is now a dull green, and the pink has been turned into a light brown color. They wear a small top-hat, while their endoskeleton head wears a pair of bunny ears. The endoskeleton's eye has become a spiral, and similarly, Mangle's eye has become what seems to be a light blue crystal ball. On a few parts of the endoskeleton, playing cards seem to be stuck onto them, and on their handless limb, there seems to be a shackle on it. Finally, Magician Mangle holds a giant saw, and has various knives floating around them, while the endoskeleton head holds a magic wand in its mouth.

Clown Springtrap[]

Clown Springtrap

Clown Springtrap is the third Dark Circus animatronic, and the final one added from the initial event. He is also the third skin for Springtrap.

Appearance[]

Clown Springtrap has a pale white suit with blue and purple makeup above his eyes. He has messy purple hair coming out of his head and large red lipstick as well. Clown Springtrap's body is mostly covered by a large suit, with ripped up black pants and a black shirt, along with a red and purple vest. He features large red clown shoes along with a large red bowtie and flower on his chest. His right eyelid has also been stitched up. Finally, he carries around a very large red mallet in his left hand.

Great Escape Golden Freddy[]

Great freddy by Scrappyboi

Great Escape Golden Freddy, or simply Great Escape Freddy, was the final skin added for Dark Circus, as well as the final skin to be added to AR in general. It is the first, and only, skin for Golden Freddy. He acts as the primary antagonist as the special Mixed Reality DLC gamemode Dark Circus: Encore, and was available exclusively through purchasing and beating the DLC content.

Appearance[]

Great Escape Golden Freddy is identical to Golden Freddy in coloration, still being yellow, but is now a much duller shade, with black and green splotches on his head, legs and feet. His head is severely withered in multiple areas, with most of it deteriorated or missing, including half his top-hat. His eye sockets are also completely empty, with holes going through the endoskeleton head, and a chain is running through his mouth. He wears a brown straight jacket with multiple golden chains running across it, with many locks, boxes and a giant black metallic collar around his neck. These chains also run down to his upper legs, with some hooks dangling from them. Finally, his legs and feet have shriveled, and his ankles have two giant ball and chains on them, keeping him from having full movement of his legs.

Gameplay[]

After the player has defeated both Ringmaster Foxy and Ballora, the player will be met with Great Escape Golden Freddy breaking out of his tank. He stands facing away from the player before jolting around and roaring at them, beginning the encounter. The encounter plays out the same as a normal Golden Freddy encounter, and once Great Escape Golden Freddy is defeated, the DLC concludes, showing a deactivated Ringmaster Foxy and Ballora, and a Great Escape Golden Freddy laying on the ground, before Great Escape's eyes reactivate once more, and the scene cuts.

Trivia[]

  • Magician Mangle was initially revealed due to Illumix's instagram account accidentally putting a hashtag with their name on a post the day prior to their release.
  • Interestingly, Magician Mangle has cards floating around them instead of knives in their teaser
MagicianMangleShopBundle
  • Magician Mangle's eye is based on a crystal ball, despite this object normally being associated with psychics and not magicians.
  • Oddly, Magician Mangle's shop bundle portrait uses an extended version of their map icon instead of their plushsuit icon.
  • Clown Springtrap marks the first time a character has received three skins.
  • Great Escape Golden Freddy is the first skin to be associated with a previous group of skins despite not being released with them, in this case, the Dark Circus skins.
  • Clown Springtrap is the first skin to have a completely unique model, rather than one that used the regular character as a base.
  • Clown Springtrap and Magician Mangle are the only Dark Circus animatronics not physically featured in the Dark Circus: Encore! DLC.
  • Great Escape Golden Freddy was leaked on November 28th 2021 via his assets and model being dumped in Illumix's server.
    • Due to the assets and model being the their servers rather than the game itself however, this lead some to believe that he was a hoax, and not a real character.
    • This was the earliest a skin's ever been leaked, being found over two weeks before his release.
  • Great Escape Golden Freddy's design is mostly inspired by the outfits worn by magicians and illisuionists when performing the "Chinese Water Torture Cell" trick, in which the performer is chained up in a straight jacket to keep from using his arms, and must escape a large glass container filled with water.
    • This inspiration is made obvious when looking at Great Escape Golden Freddy's level in the Mixed Reality Gamemode.
    • This is also the inspiration for the "Great Escape" portion of the skin's name.
  • Great Escape Golden Freddy's name in the files is simply "Great Escape Freddy", which was most likely done to shorten file names.

She is based off of La Catrina de los Toletis, a popular character in Mexican culture who is the representation of the skeleton of a lady of high society, and she is one of the most popular figures at the Feast of the Day of the Dead in Mexico. She bears a tattered purple cloth coming from the back of her hair that reaches down to her thighs. She wears a turquoise necklace around her neck, and her bib now reads "ESTAMOS AQUI!" which directly translates to "WE'RE HERE!". She wears a large black, gold and red torn-up dress with pink and yellow shoulder sleeves along with black and red sleeves. The dress also bears black roses surrounding the collar, and an extremely torn-up skirt. Finally, she has painted markings all over her body, most notably on her legs.

Just like Toy Chica, Catrina Toy Chica has her own Cupcake in the form of Calavera Cupcake. Calavera Cupcake is decorated to look similar to that of a Sugar Skull, with multi-colored patterns all over it's face, and dark black eyes with glowing bright red pupils.

Trivia[]

  • Catrina Toy Chica is the only skin to be added to the Halloween Event.
  • Catrina Toy Chica is the first holiday-based skin that is not a skin for a character from the first game.

His eyes are empty and his mouth is much smaller, but is now attached to a large crack that goes around his whole head. His balloon now holds the same changes that he faces, and his sign, also covered in moss, now reads "ROT" instead of "Balloons!".

Trivia[]

  • Woodland Toy Freddy is the first and only bear animatronic to not wear a tophat.
  • Woodland Toy Freddy is one of only two skins to have a unique jumpscare noise.
    • The other is Flaming Springtrap.
    • As well as this, Woodland Toy Freddy would be the first skin to have entirely unique sound effects in general.
  • Strangely, System Error Toy Bonnie was the only member of Arcade Mayhem to not get his own shirt in their merchandise line.
  • Boulder Toy Bonnie is the third iteration of Toy Bonnie to have a full set of upper teeth. The others are RWQFSFASXC and White Rabbit from FNaF World.
    • The latter of these two, White Rabbit, shares many similarities with Boulder Toy Bonnie, both being white colored variants of Toy Bonnie with a full set of teeth and missing eyes. Though it's unknown whether or not this was an intentional design choice for Boulder Toy Bonnie, or simply a coincidence.
  • Swamp Balloon Boy's assets and model were leaked a day before his initial release due to being added early.
    • This was probably done so staff could spend the following day, being Thanksgiving, at home with family instead of adding his assets to the game.

Black Ice Frostbear[]

Black Ice Frostbear (By Scrappboi)

Black Ice Frostbear is the first skin in the Winter Wonderland event and is an icier version of Freddy Frostbear. He is Frostbear's first, and only, skin.

Appearance[]

Black Ice Frostbear, similarly to normal Frostbear, is a Freddy variant made entirely out of ice. Black Ice Frostbear however is noticeably darker in color, and is covered in more ice, with spikes spewing out of his arms, legs and shoulders. His jaw is noticeably more jagged, and his snout is somewhat smaller, but has multiple spikes sticking out of it. His torso and top hat feature large gashes within them, making his endoskeleton visible in the torso. Finally, instead of his icicle, he holds a large spear-like staff made of ice.

Arctic Ballora[]

Ballora arctic ByScrappyboi

Arctic Ballora is the second skin in the Winter Wonderland event and the first skin overall for Ballora. She was released alongside the announcement of the Community Quest. During encounters, Arctic Ballora has a unique music box that is a remixed version of Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy.

Appearance[]

Arctic Ballora is similar to Ballora, however, she is now made completely out of ice with a few icicles sticking out of her arms & legs. She now has pink make-up & jewelry on her face & stomach, as well as her top now being changed to pink and made in a slightly different shape. Her cheeks are outlined by glowing blue circles, with small blue dashes shooting away from them. Finally, her tutu is made entirely out of icicles, and is accompanied by an icicle ruff & icicle crown.

Frostbite Balloon Boy[]

Frostbitebbrender

Frostbite Balloon Boy, alternatively known as Blizzard Balloon Boy in the files, is the third skin for the Winter Wonderland event, and Balloon Boy's second skin overall.

Appearance[]

Frostbite Balloon Boy is almost entirely different from Balloon Boy in body shape, as he has been slimmed down. As well as this, he is made entirely out of snow, with icicles sticking out of him and a large chunk of his torso taken out showing dark blue ice on the inside of his body. His balloon and sign are also made of snow with icicles sticking out, as well as his sign now saying "Avalanche!" rather than "Balloons!". Finally, his face is made to be much more sinister looking, with his eyes gone and his eye sockets in a more triangular shape, as well as his smile, being much larger with sharper teeth.

Frost Plushtrap[]

Frosttrap2 byScrappyboi

Frost Plushtrap is the fourth and final skin to be introduced in the Winter Wonderland event. It is Plushtrap's first skin. Along with him came an entirely new look for Plushtrap's encounter environment.

Appearance[]

Frost Plushtrap has an identical appearance to that of Plushtrap, with the main difference being that he is now made entirely out of a light blue colored ice. Is eyes have become similar to that of Freddy Frostbear, and his eye sockets have more tears coming out of them. Finally, he has multiple icicles sticking out of his arms, head & back.

Frost Plushtrap's environment is also different to that of Plushtrap. His environment is now covered in snow, and in the back there's a large gaping hole that allows the player to see large Pine Trees outside. As well as this, the electronics are all frosted over; with icicles sticking off of them.

Trivia[]

  • Arctic Ballora is the only Winter Wonderland animatronic to not have the word "Frost" anywhere in her name.
  • Similarly to Swamp Balloon Boy, both Arctic Ballora and Frost Plushtrap had their assets leaked a day early to their intended release.
    • Frost Plushtrap's assets specifically were likely leaked for the same reason as Swamp Balloon Boy, being the fact that the character released on a Holiday; in the case, Christmas Eve.
  • Frostbite Balloon Boy's static is replaced by Freddy Frostbear's freezing mechanic. Strangely, he is the only non-Frostbear Winter Wonderland skin to have this be the case, despite all four of them being made of ice and snow.
  • On Frost Plushtrap's plushsuit package, a bit of his hand is still showing, as Illumix forgot to crop it out.
  • It took until the final Gameplay Update for Frost Plushtrap to be fixed and be able to drop his CPU and/or Plushsuit when beating him. Before this update, it was impossible to receive either from him without purchasing them from the shop.

His torso, upper left arm, right forearm and both his legs are covered in scratches, cracks and holes in the glass. His eyes are mostly black, but his irises glow a bright red. The most notable feature of his design is that a pixelated heart that flickers and glows sits inside the center of his chest. In some renders and when he is damaged, he becomes more clear, and the black coloration of his body disappears.

Trivia[]

  • Heartsick Baby and Black Heart Bonnie were the first skins to be released on the same day.
  • Black Heart Bonnie & Heartsick Baby were the first skins since the Haunted Forest event to have the same jumpscare and haywire sounds as their normal counterparts.
  • Black Heart Bonnie is Bonnie's only skin to not be Easter-themed.

Finally, they are seen holding both the sun and the moon in each hand. Their name, the usage of the sun and moon props, and their overall appearance suggests that they're inspired by the Quetzalcoatl; the snake-like Creator God from Mayan and Aztec mythology.

Curse[]

Curse by Scrappyboi

The Curse, otherwise known as Curse Skin or just simply Curse is an Aztec themed skin for Springtrap and the second of the Ancient Equinox duo of skins. He is the fourth, and final, skin for Springtrap.

Finally, he is seen with a golden, tiger-like helmet atop his head with two large, teal feathers, and his face is adorned with red and gold makeup.

Trivia[]

  • Oddly, Curse is not called "Curse Springtrap" despite being a skin for him.
    • Interestingly on top of this, in the announcement post for the event, only Mangle is featured in the hashtags, and no mention of Springtrap is seen anywhere.[2]
  • During the Spring Spree mini event, Curse gained a custom teaser showcasing a mugshot of him in front of a teal background. The mugshot however, shows that Curse wasn't posed at all, and it is a simple render of him t-posing.

Scary Tales Animatronics[]

The Scary Tales event would introduce 2 new skins to the game, with one bringing along the return of encounter-exclusive appearances.

BigBadFoxyAmqericaRender

It features an alternate appearance in encounters in which he takes on a granny disguise, known in the files as Big Bad Granny Foxy. He is inspired by the common trope of a Big Bad Wolf in fairy tales, specifically the one that appears in Little Red Riding Hood.

BigBadFoxyAmqericaRender2

During encounters, he takes on a grandma disguise. Said disguise consists of Bid Bad Foxy wearing a torn blue night gown, and a matching nightcap. He is also seen wearing broken and bent glasses with gold rims and cracked, translucent blue lenses. This appearance is in obvious reference to the Little Red Riding Hood story, in which the titular character encountered a wolf disguised as her grandmother.

Trivia[]

  • Little Red Chica and Big Bad Foxy were the first time animatronic skins were revealed before their event aired, as the Scary Tales event had to be delayed due to bug issues.
  • Due to the event getting delayed by multiple days, Illumix rewarded players with a free 3D avatar icon of Little Red Chica for their patience.
  • Despite being gold in the teaser, Little Red Chica's endoskeleton is colored the normal silver.
  • Little Red Chica reuses Scorching Chica's workshop animation.
  • Little Red Chica, along with other many other skins, is notably absent from the Official Character Encyclopedia.
  • Big Bad Foxy is the first skin since Arcade Mayhem to have two separate appearances based off what gameplay section the player views him in.
    • He is also the last skin to feature this mechanic.
  • Both versions of Big Bad Foxy have 3D profile icons, and is the only skin with an altered appearance to do this.

Dark Water Endo barely resembles their normal counterpart anymore, as they are now covered entirely in a watery casing. They have multiple small tendrils coming out of their arms and torso and their hands are colored black with their fingertips glowing sky blue. Their torso is filled with a multi-colored pattern that looks similar to coral. Their head looks extremely similar to that of an angler fish, with their mouth having a more fish-like look with thin, sharp teeth and multiple sharp, curled tendrils sticking out of the lower side. They have two large fins on each side of their head and the iconic angler fish antenna on top of their head. Finally, both of their eyes are large and glow a bright white.

Sunken Toy Bonnie[]

SunkenToyBonnieRender

Sunken Toy Bonnie is an underwater-themed skin for Toy Bonnie, and the second skin introduced in Wicked Tides. He is also the third, and final, skin for Toy Bonnie.

Appearance[]

Sunken Toy Bonnie is identical to Toy Bonnie, however, he is made entirely out of brown and green barnacle-covered wood. His stomach is colored with dull pinks, blues and purples, and appears to be made out of a more glossy, shell-like texture. His bowtie is now made up of two purple scallops, and his cheeks have large, lime colored clams covering them. His ear has a large chip in it, and his tail has large vein-like strands of stone covering it. Finally, his eyes are a multi-colored watery texture that looks somewhat like opal.

Piranha Plushtrap[]

Piranha PlushtrapRender

Piranha Plushtrap is an underwater-themed skin for Plushtrap and the final skin introduced for both the Wicked Tides Event, and Plushtrap himself. Much like Frost Plushtrap, he brings along a new environment in his encounters.

Appearance[]

Piranha Plushtrap changes a lot from the original Plushtrap, now being made of a more organic flesh-like material, even having realistic gums. His mouth is littered with long, thin, sharp teeth and his eyes are extremely small and glow an ocean blue color. On the sides of his head are two glowing orange gills, and his feet glow that same orange. His hands have orange webbing in between them that stretches when his fingers move. His ears are covered in small barnacles, and his mouth, stomach and right leg are covered in string-like algae. Finally, his body is covered in spikes and his torso is split open revealing ribs.

His environment changes entirely from the original, now being what appears to be a giant lobster pot, and is filled with coral, pirate ship parts and barrels. The entirety of the level is also underwater, and there's a bright light at the end of the map that makes Piranha Plushtrap extremely difficult to see.

Trivia[]

  • Dark Water Bare Endo is the first fish based animatronic in the whole franchise.
    • Piranha Plushtrap being the second.
  • Despite fixing the issue for Flamethrower Bare Endo, Dark Water Bare Endo experienced an error in which it was listed separately from Bare Endo in the workshop.
  • Dark Water Bare Endo was revealed via multiple in-game teasers that showed various puzzle pieces.
    • Many believed the pieces to be either Ballora or Foxy, until the face was revealed.
  • Similarly to the Scary Tales duo, Piranha Plushtrap was also revealed before being delayed. Though this was mostly due to the puzzle-piece teaser style that the event used.
    • Piranha Plushtrap's reason for being delayed by three days was due to bugs with his environment.
  • With the 14.5.0 Update, Frost Plushtrap and Piranha Plushtrap now use their respective environments with friends sends with the Plushtrap CPU.
    • Before this, both skins would use Plushtrap's normal environment when sent by friends.

Clockwork Ballora is a steampunk-themed skin for Ballora and was the first of the Screampunk animatronics. She is the second, and final skin for Ballora, and is accompanied by the only skins for the Minireena, being the Clockwork Minireena.

Appearance[]

Clockwork Ballora looks nearly identical to that of Ballora, except she is made entirely out of golden gears and plates. Her crown and her shoulder pads have become large gears, and her lower legs, sections of her arm, and her pelvis are all colored a rust color. Her tutu is made up of a large rotating gear mechanism, and her top is made up of a rust-colored bottom piece and a black-colored top piece with a rose pattern on it. Finally, the gold plates that make up her face, arms, and legs are welded into a victorian style set of patterns with some red-colored indents.

ClockworkMinireenaRender

Clockwork Minireena[]

Clockwork Minireena are a steampunk-theme skin for the Minireenas that appear during Clockwork Ballora's encounters. They're similar to Clockwork Ballora in appearance, with gear tutus and a gold body. Their faces hold red blood-like stains, and their eyes glow a bright green. Finally, their arm and leg joints have gears that hold their upper arm and forearm together.

Due to only appearing in encounters, they are the only skin in the game to not be viewable in the workshop.

Aeronaut Toy Freddy[]

AeronautToyFreddyRender

Aeronaut Toy Freddy is a skin for Toy Freddy with a steampunk pilot and engineer theme. He is Toy Freddy's third, and final, skin and the second skin in the Screampunk Event.

Appearance[]

Aeronaut Toy Freddy is a much darker shade of brown with a lighter colored snout and mouth. His hat is now much larger and made out of various scrap metal and gears. He wears large gear and magnifying glass based goggles. He also wears a large leather trench coat, leather pants, a leather boot and a clock based bowtie. His chest cavity is broken open to show multiple golden gears, and he wears a golden pilot badge. He has a large bag strapped around his shoulder and he has a steampunk arm canon on his left forearm. His left hand and right foot are incased with golden metal. Finally, he wields a large metal wrench.

Jetpack Balloon Boy[]

JetpackBBRender

Jetpack Balloon Boy is the steampunk-themed skin for Balloon Boy who acted as the final member of the Screampunk Event, and the final skin overall to be introduced in an event. He is the third, and final skin for Balloon Boy.

Appearance[]

Jetpack Balloon Boy looks identical to that of Balloon Boy, but he now wears a brown leather coat with a wool inside and hood, and a large pilot's hat decorated with various gears, bulbs and devices. He wears a pair of goggles with the right lens colored a glowing green and the left lens broken open to reveal a yellow robotic eye. His shoes and arms appear to be made of a bronze metal and are covered in gears, and his sign now reads "LET'S FLY!" with the letters being made out of scrap metal bolted onto the blank sign. His balloon is decorated to look like that of a hot air balloon, with gears, jewels and curtains covering it. Finally, as his name suggests, he wears a large jetpack on his back, which he will use to fly in his workshop animation.

Trivia[]

  • Despite not gaining one with Arctic Ballora, Minireena gained their first skin in the Screampunk Event with Clockwork Ballora.
    • The skin in question is Clockwork Minireena.
  • Illumix strangely used two different art pieces for Aeronaut Toy Freddy's release, showing the usual teaser on Reddit and Twitter, but on Instagram, they showed the promotional artwork for him that they'd normally post a few days later.
    • The same happened with Jetpack Balloon Boy.
  • Aeronaut Toy Freddy during encounters will flip his goggles up.
    • This was most likely done for character CPUs that require the player to see the animatronic's eyes, such as Springtrap and Toy Bonnie.
  • There's a slight animation error where Aeronaut Toy Freddy's bag won't end in the same position as the animation starts, so when the animation goes to loop his bag will snap into place.
    • This error was fixed with the release of Jetpack Balloon Boy, however.

Unused Skins[]

Easter Chica is the only unused skin within the games files. The skin has no information on it other than it's name and the fact it was replaced by Easter Bonnie, evidenced by the fact that 'EasterChicaSkin' was the name of Easter Bonnie's attack profile in the code for a short time. In the teaser released after Easter Bonnie was out showing a destroyed sweets shop, a Chica head icon can be seen near the bottom right on a pillar, and some believe it might've been in reference to Easter Chica.

Merch Exclusive Skins[]

While Funko is known for their merch-exclusive recolors, have been made under specifically the FNaF: AR name, and sold as merch specifically for that game. The most notable ones are Chocolate versions of Freddy and Chica. As well as them, the Spring Colorway set of plushies, and the inverted versions of the Arcade Mayhem skins and Radioactive Foxy are all recolors sold specifically as FNaF: AR merch.

Trivia[]

  • Although Freddy Frostbear may seem like Freddy's skin at first glance, he was introduced before the Skin System is introduced and gained his own CPU, thus, he is counted as an individual character.
    • The same can be said about 8-Bit Baby, who while being introduced after the skin system, was given her own CPU and is not counted as a skin, despite the similarities to Circus Baby's mechanics.
    • This is further proven by Black Ice Frostbear, who is a skin for Freddy Frostbear.
  • The Arcade Mayhem skins, Radioactive Foxy and Swamp Balloon Boy are the only skins that don't change appearance when damaged.
    • This is most likely due to the materials the animatronics are made of.
    • Due to Highscore Toy Chica and VR Toy Freddy having attack modes in favor of this, and Swamp Balloon Boy gaining glowing eyes during encounters, it has led Radioactive Foxy and System Error Toy Bonnie to be the only skins without altered appearances of any kind depending on how damaged they are or when attacking the player.
  • Nearly every name given to the various Cupcakes held by Chica & Toy Chica's skins were fanmade, and were only made canon with the fan-names being included in the Character Encyclopedia.
  • The only animatronic characters that don't have a skin are 8-Bit Baby, Jack-O-Chica, Jack-O-Bonnie, and Funtime Freddy.
    • While RWQFSFASXC also lacks a skin, he is an encounter-only character and therefore does not count.
    • Despite not recieving skins, code within the game had shown that the Jack-O's were planned to gain skins in the future.
  • Multiple skins reappear in Security Breach Fury's Rage as enemies in the game.
    • Each one is given a slight redesign to fit the style of the game along with brand new names.
