— S.T.A.F.F. Bots when being stunned.

In Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach, a large number of S.T.A.F.F. Bots can be found scattered around the Pizzaplex. S.T.A.F.F. Bots make up various jobs around the Pizzaplex, such as vendors, security staff and more. They return in the RUIN DLC as primarily background props. Multiple S.T.A.F.F. Bots return in Help Wanted 2 alongside new variants.

Appearance[]

Base S.T.A.F.F.[]

Due to S.T.A.F.F. Bots taking up multiple jobs, there are many variants of them, with each having a different appearance. All S.T.A.F.F. hold the same base of being a humanoid robot with a large tower with wheels as their equivalent to legs. The default S.T.A.F.F. have a white & blue color scheme with orange painted-on cheeks and buttons. Their torsos are decorated to look like a buttoned-up shirt and have the word "STAFF" written on the back. Wires are exposed connecting their arms to their torsos. Finally, they have small triangular makeup underneath their black eyes.

S.T.A.F.F. appearance varies among the different types of S.T.A.F.F., but most follow this color-scheme and all but one follow the same base-model. Mop S.T.A.F.F. are the only S.T.A.F.F. Bots that don't change design at all.

Behavior[]

Most S.T.A.F.F. are passive animatronics, however some types of S.T.A.F.F. Bots have different mechanics than others. While some of these mechanics aren't inherently aggressive, some are. Only one type of S.T.A.F.F. bot is capable of killing you, while the rest of the aggressive S.T.A.F.F. types simply alert animatronics to your location. Multiple regular S.T.A.F.F. Bots are also scattered around the location, dirty and deactivated.

Variants[]

Mop Bot[]

Mop Bots are regular S.T.A.F.F. Bots that can be found in two places within the Pizzaplex mopping the floor. They are the first ever encountered S.T.A.F.F. variant. One Mop Bot is always seen accompanied by Wet Floor Bots.

Appearance[]

Mop Bots share their appearance with the base S.T.A.F.F. Bot, with the only key difference being the cleaning equipment they carry with them, being either a broom or a mop.

Behavior[]

Only two Mop Bots can be found within the game. One of which is seen behind a gate only accessible via Monty's Claws, while the other can be found in the Lobby. Mop Bots are stationary S.T.A.F.F. Bots that do not actively hunt the player. If approached, they will sound an alarm and call for an animatronic to come near.

Trivia[]

  • The Mop Bots are the only variant to use the base S.T.A.F.F. Bot model.
  • The Mop Bot found in the Lobby will warn Gregory to leave the Pizzaplex or they will be forced to call security.

Security Bot[]

Security Bots are the most common S.T.A.F.F. variant and are found in most attractions within the Pizzaplex. It also holds two variants of a Nightmare S.T.A.F.F. Bot variant, and a Sewer S.T.A.F.F. Bot variant.

Appearance[]

Security Bots look identical to regular S.T.A.F.F., with a few notable differences. They carry flashlights at all times and wear black caps that read "SECURITY" in white text. They have black shoulder-pads and forearms, and a small security badge printed on their chest.

Behavior[]

Security Bots can be found in most areas of the Pizzaplex, patrolling rooms in a set path. If the player walks into their flashlights, they will jumpscare the player before sounding an alarm to call for nearby animatronics. They will continue to sound an alarm if the player remains in their line of sight.

Trivia[]

  • It is possible that the unused lines for "Sentry Bot" were meant for the various Security Bots.
    • This is especially likely when one of their lines has the bot refer to themselves as a "Security Officer".

Map Bot[]

Map Bot is a neutral S.T.A.F.F. Bot who acts as a Map Vendor, giving the player maps in certain areas. It returns in the RUIN DLC as Mask Bot.

Appearance[]

Map Bot is a regular S.T.A.F.F. Bot with a yellow chest that holds a large lowercase "i" on it. It also wears a blue sun hat and a pair of large black glasses. Finally, it wears two small storage folds that hold maps in them around its waste. In RUIN, Map Bot's new variant of Mask Bot is near identical to Map Bot, with the only notable exception being the lack of a hat, and the new addition of two ears made up of pieces the shell on Mask Bot's head being peeled upwards. As well as this, Mask Bot is noticeably dirty, and its storage folds no longer have any maps inside it.

Behavior[]

Map Bot is encountered twice within Security Breach. The first time it is encountered, it stops the player outside the elevator to give them a map. They do the same again right after Moon drags Freddy away to Parts and Service.

Map Bot stops the player by forcibly grabbing and jumpscaring them, and then refusing to let them continue onwards until they accept its map. Accepting the map then expands the map on the Faz-Watch, and allows the player to continue onwards.

In RUIN, Map Bot returns as Mask Bot. It is encountered at the start of the game within Monty Golf. It behaves identically to how it behaves in the base game, with the only difference being that it hands out the Security Mask rather than a map. It deactivates right after Cassie takes the mask from it, and remains in that spot for the remainder of the DLC.

Trivia[]

  • It was noted by Ray McCaffrey that Map Bot caused more bugs than any other character, leading Ray to jokingly request that Map Bot be thrown into a volcano.[2]
    • This was also referenced in promotional Valentines, where Map Bot's valentine was directed towards Ray, and featured a volcano.
  • Before the release of RUIN, Ray McCaffrey noted on Twitter that Map Bot would not be included in the DLC. This joke ended up being technically true, as Map Bot is now Mask Bot.

Party Bot[]

Party Bots are stationary S.T.A.F.F. Bots found outside the various attractions in the Pizzaplex's Atrium.

Appearance[]

Party Bots are purple S.T.A.F.F. Bots with pink cheeks and a dark, metallic forehead. Their right arm is made up of a small purple sign with orange glowing decals of Helpy. The sign reads "FAZCOMMS Secure Transfer System", and has a small glowing envelope attached to the upper right side of it.

Behavior[]

Party Bots stand stationary outside of the attractions in the Pizzaplex, denying the player entry unless they have the right party pass. If the player has the attraction's designated party pass, then the Party Bot will accept it before doing a short dance and speeding off and out of the way.

Trivia[]

  • The Party Bots were intended to appear in the unimplemented Survival Mode, where they would guard every major area of the PizzaPlex, requiring the player to use various Party Passes to get past them.
  • Before the game's V1.09 patch, rather than driving away, Party Bots would simply vanish after receiving a Party Pass.

Alien Bot[]

Alien Bots are S.T.A.F.F. Bots found exclusively within Fazer Blast's arena, acting as enemies in the Fazer Blast game.

Appearance[]

Alien Bots are regular S.T.A.F.F. Bots that wear green helmets with two antenna. They also carry around Fazer-Blasters.

Behavior[]

Alien Bots act as opponents within Fazer Blast, and must be shot with the Fazer Blaster to be defeated. They will shoot at the player when in range of them, and will attempt to destroy any flags the player has captured. Similarly to the Glamrocks, hitting them with the Fazerblaster will stun them, however hitting them directly into the eyes will completely destroy them. Points are gained in Fazer Blast when doing this.

The player's health in Fazer Blast will decrease every time they're shot by an Alien Bot, and the player will lose the game and have to restart of their health is completely drained.

Unused Content[]

Two unused variants of the Alien S.T.A.F.F. Bot can be found in the files. One version is almost entirely green, with red triangle symbols on its chest and the sides of its helmet. This version also has large black markings around its eyes, meant to resemble a more stereotypical depiction of an Alien. The second variant is mostly black in color, with green markings on it's chest, pink cheeks and a dark forehead. Both of these variants go entirely unused within the base game for unknown reasons.

Driver Assistant[]

Driver Assistants, or Driver Assist Bots, are unique S.T.A.F.F. Bots found attached to go-karts in Roxy's Raceway.

Appearance[]

Driver Assistants are small S.T.A.F.F. Bots with a red neck, wrists and shoulders. Its head and fingers are purple, and its chest holds a red version of the logo for Roxy Raceway, as well as purple stripes, and the sides of its head are yellow and black colored. The bot can also sometimes be seen wearing a Roxy themed racing helmet. Finally, unlike all other S.T.A.F.F. Bots, these bots do not have a lower body, as they are attached to the inside of the go-karts in Roxy Raceway.

In RUIN, multiple broken Driver Assists can be found, some of which even feature a full body like regular S.T.A.F.F. Bots. Alongside these broken variants, nightmare variants can be seen in the AR World, where giant black and purple Driver Assists with the heads of Nightmare Bots can be seen.

Behavior[]

The Driver Assistant is a robot that the player needs to repair to order to decommission Roxy. In order to do this, the player must first acquire the head from a broken Driver Assist found in a crate, and then go to the S.T.A.F.F. repair station located in the Fazcade. After repairing the broken head and reattaching it to the Driver Assist, the player is able to shatter Roxanne, in which the Driver Assist remains within the go-kart the whole time.

Trivia[]

  • In one of the areas in RUIN, the player passes by a Foxy-themed log ride. Two Driver Assists can be seen within one of the rideable logs, both of which are broken and deactivated.
  • Despite not having a helmet on the head when repairing it, the repaired Driver Assist gains a helmet once it's attached to it's body.

Comedy Bot[]

The Comedy Bot is one of two entertainers found within the Fazbear Theater outside of the Superstar Daycare.

Appearance[]

The Comedy Bot is a normal S.T.A.F.F. Bot with various new accessories. It wears a black bowler hat and a navy blue vest with a light-blue collar. It has small curved eyebrows above its eyes, and also wears a small black bowtie. Finally, the bot holds a small microphone.

Behavior[]

The Comedy Bot is a stationary S.T.A.F.F. who spends all its time on-stage, telling jokes, most of which are either catered to other S.T.A.F.F. Bots, or ploys to advertise or collect data. Once its act is over, it'll swap places with Magician Bot.

Trivia[]

  • When the game was first released, Comedy Bot was actually a regular S.T.A.F.F. Bot, who did not perform properly.
    • In the v1.05 patch, it was able to perform properly, and in the v1.07 patch, its unique model was implemented.
  • One of Comedy Bot's jokes uses the name Jeremy, a name that has been seen many times within the franchise, with the protagonist of the second game, one of the missing children, and a character from Help Wanted all sharing the name.

Magician Bot[]

The Magician Bot is one of two entertainers found within the Fazbear Theater outside of the Superstar Daycare.

Appearance[]

The Magician Bot is a mostly regular S.T.A.F.F. Bot, however is wearing a magician's outfit. The outfit consists of a large black top hat with a glittery, red ribbon, a black coat with a blue collar, and a long red cape. Its arms are colored entirely gray, and it also has a large red bowtie that matches the top hat's ribbon.

Behavior[]

The Magician Bot is a stationary S.T.A.F.F. who spends all its time on-stage, attempting to perform magic tricks. However, it cannot actually perform any tricks, and simply comments on performing them, as well as failing to perform them. Once its act is over, it'll swap places with Comedy Bot.

Trivia[]

  • The Magician Bot was not present in the game upon release, only being added in the v1.11 patch.
  • A dirty Magician Bot acts as a member of the S.T.A.F.F. Bot Family.

Chef Bot[]

Chef Bot, otherwise known as Pizza Bot, is a Pizza Chef and a controllable S.T.A.F.F. Bot found within one of the Pizzaplex's many kitchens.

Appearance[]

Chef Bot is a regular S.T.A.F.F. Bot wearing a chef's coat and toque, as well as a small purple cravat. Notable, the bot's coat has a very large stain on it, likely caused by Chica tackling it.

Behavior[]

The Chef Bot is the only S.T.A.F.F. Bot to be fully controlled by the player, used exclusively in a minigame where the player must make a pizza in a time limit to lure Chica away from the door of the security office they're trapped in. At the end of the minigame, Chica tackles the Bot and chomps down on it. Later, the player can find Chef Bot in the same kitchen the player controlled them in, where it can also be found in RUIN, now deactivated.

Attendant Bot[]

Not what you're looking for? Try looking at Circus Baby/Disambiguation.

Attendant Bots, called Circus Baby Bots internally, are attendants found within the Ice Cream Parlor in Bonnie Bowl. As their internal name implies, they are based off Circus Baby.

Appearance[]

Attendant Bots are a mostly red S.T.A.F.F. Bot with an appearance reminiscent of Circus Baby. The majority of their body is colored red, with the usual white being present only on the hands, forearms and face. The Bot's wrists, neck and cheeks are all orange, and the bottom of the Bot's lower-segment is colored orange. Its shoulders are more pointed than other S.T.A.F.F. variants, and the wires connecting the arms to the torso are colored red rather than the usual purple and orange that most other variants have. Finally, the bot has two small pigtails, and small eyelashes.

Behavior[]

Attendant Bots are stationary S.T.A.F.F. that do not interact with the player in any way. They appear exclusively within the Ice Cream Parlor in Bonnie Bowl, and a singular one appears in the S.T.A.F.F. Bot Silo alongside other S.T.A.F.F. Bots gathered around a table.

Nightmare Bot[]

Not what you're looking for? Try looking at Marionette/Disambiguation.

The Nightmarionne S.T.A.F.F. Bots, or Nightmare Bots, are aggressive and abandoned S.T.A.F.F. Bot variants found in the underground areas of the Pizzaplex. As their name implies, they are reminiscent of Nightmarionne.

Appearance[]

Nightmare Bots appear to have once been regular S.T.A.F.F. Bots, but have been altered. On top of being notably ditier and duller in color compared to their normal counterparts, they now have painted-on smiles with rows of small, sharp teeth. Their arms are dawned with black stripes, and their chest now holds the phrase "IN YOUR DREAMS". Their security variant is identical to them, with the only difference being the addition of the Security hat worn by Security Bots.

Behavior[]

The Nightmare Bots mainly function as Security S.T.A.F.F. in the sewer area. However, a hostile group of Nightmare S.T.A.F.F. can be found at the bottom of a pit in the trash area, where falling into the pit leads to them killing the player. Many Nightmare Bots can also be found stuck within the walls of the trash area, and piles of their heads can be found in the room filled with sticky-notes at the end of this area.

A group of Nightmarionne S.T.A.F.F. Bots are seen in Freddy's death cutscene present in the Disassemble Vanny and Redemption endings. In RUIN, a select few Nightmare S.T.A.F.F. Bot heads appear in the first course of the Monty Golf AR-Cade minigame.

Trivia[]

  • Two unused versions of the Nightmarionne Bots can be found within the files, with one being a clean variant, and the other being an in between of the clean variant and the regular dirty one. Neither of these variants are used anywhere in-game.
    • It is unclear on if this will have lore implications within the game, or just a fun reference.
  • Many believed that the Nightmarionne S.T.A.F.F. Bots were known as the "Alpha Z Group" due to their initial teaser in Freddy & Friends.
    • It is still unknown as to what the phrase "Alpha Z Group" means.

Sewer Bot[]

The Sewer Bot is an abandoned S.T.A.F.F. Bot found in the depths of the Pizzaplex, found outside the entrance to Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place.

Appearance[]

The Sewer Bot appears to have once been a regular S.T.A.F.F. Bot that has withered from its time underground. The bot is covered in moss and grime, with most of its body being discolored as a result. Its entire face is now missing, revealing its endoskeleton underneath. The one that appears in-game is a Security Bot variant, and wears the same hat as a result.

Behavior[]

The Sewer Bot, or as it's called in the files, Exterminator Bot, is a Security S.T.A.F.F. variant, and acts identically to it.

Trivia[]

  • Due to the Exterminator variant being the only one to appear in-game, the regular Sewer Bot is technically an unused variant.

S.T.A.F.F. Family[]

The S.T.A.F.F. Bot Family is a group of five dirty, inactive S.T.A.F.F gathered around a table found in the S.T.A.F.F silo.

Appearance[]

The five S.T.A.F.F. Bots gathered at the table are simply dirty variants of other S.T.A.F.F. Bots. The variants chosen are the Magician Bot, Attendant Bot, the unused Nanny Bot, the unused Server Bot, and a regular S.T.A.F.F. Bot that is missing its head.

Speculation[]

Many believe the table of five S.T.A.F.F. in the S.T.A.F.F. Silo are meant to represent the Afton Family, with the Magician Bot representing William Afton, the Nanny Bot representing a potential "Mrs. Afton", the Circus Baby Bot representing Elizabeth Afton, the Server Bot representing Michael Afton and the Headless Bot representing the Crying Child/Bite Victim from FNaF 4. The Server Bot being linked to Michael is likely due to Michael being the only Afton to be confirmed to work as a staff member in Freddy Fazbear's. Other evidence includes cut dialog of a Mom and Dad S.T.A.F.F. Bots arguing, which could potentially have belonged to them, however it's unknown if it was.

All of this remains as purely speculation, and nothing is currently confirmed.

The Worker Bot is a minor S.T.A.F.F. Bot variant that only made a few small appearances within Security Breach's DLC, RUIN. They return as "Fizz Bots" in Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted 2 as minor antagonists.

Appearance[]

In Security Breach, Worker Bots are regular S.T.A.F.F. Bots that can be seen on posters wearing a yellow hard hat. This version also makes an appearance on a banner in the Lobby in RUIN. A few of them then appear as deactivated Bots in RUIN wearing blue hard hats instead of the yellow depicted in the artwork. Their Fizz Bot variants in Help Wanted 2 do, however, wear yellow hard hats, and even have a Nightmare variant.

Behavior[]

Security Breach[]

Based on the poses they're found in throughout RUIN, it appears that the Bots were being used in an attempt to fix the Pizzaplex after it collapsed, before ultimately failing and being deactivated in the middle of their work.

Help Wanted 2[]

The Worker Bots, now called Fizz Bots, appear in their own set of levels simply titled "Fizzy Faz". In these five levels, S.T.A.F.F. Bots found on the cameras will provide you with the ingredients for the various Fizzy Faz orders. In later versions of the levels, a Fizz Bot will come up to the window with a special order the player must complete before any others. Failure to do so will result in the Fizz Bot jumpscaring the player.

Minor S.T.A.F.F. Bots[]

There is a large list of minor S.T.A.F.F. Bots that can be found within the Pizzaplex.

Nanny Bot[]

NannyBotRender by OrangeIdol

The Nanny Bot is a feminine S.T.A.F.F. Bot that wears a purple dress and a blue wig. Its clothing and body hold purple and red accents, and it has thick eyelashes and small blue earrings. It does not properly appear anywhere in-game, apart from one being included in the S.T.A.F.F. Bot family. Though it is possible that they were intended to be a part of the Daycare, given their implied role of a Nanny.

Server Bot[]

ServerBotRender by OrangeIdol

The Server Bots were S.T.A.F.F. Bots wear a red, yellow, blue and orange striped shirt with small white name-tags that say "Staff". It also wears a light purple and red cap with a red and blue propeller on it, as well as an orange burger. These S.T.A.F.F. used to have a different appearance, as in the tech-demo trailer they were shown to be normal S.T.A.F.F. Bots but with pink accents and a sombrero.

SombreroBotRender by OrangeIdol

It does not properly appear anywhere in-game, apart from one being included in the S.T.A.F.F. Bot family, though from Tech-Demo trailer that showed a beta version of the bot, it is possible that they were intended to roam the restaurants in the Pizzaplex. In said Tech-Demo trailer, the Server Bot had a drastically different appearance, being a purple S.T.A.F.F. Bot wearing a large sombrero, and carrying a red food tray.

Instructor Bot[]

InstructionBotRender by OrangeIdol

The Instructor Bot is a S.T.A.F.F. Bot who serves as the rules instructor for Fazer Blast. It wears a large laser-tag vest and helmet, and hold a Fazerblaster. It stays up on a stage informing the player on the rules of Fazer Blast and how to put on their equipment properly.

Shattered S.T.A.F.F. Bot[]

ShatteredSTAFFBotEm3ralditeRender

The Shattered S.T.A.F.F. Bot is a Shattered variant of the regular S.T.A.F.F. Bot that acts as a minor prop found within some of the Utility Tunnels around the Pizzaplex They appear to have large scratches on their chest and face, with their arms, shoulders and forehead dented and caved-in. They return in RUIN, now more abundant due to the condition of the Pizzaplex within the DLC.

Bowling Bot[]

RUINBowlingBot
The Bowling Bot is a S.T.A.F.F. Bot variant seen only in Bonnie Bowling during the events of RUIN. It is similar in color and design to that of a regular S.T.A.F.F Bot, however it lacks the usual lower-section in favor of hanging upside down whilst being connected to a rail system. While it's only encountered in it's dirty, deactivated state, it can be inferred that these bots were meant to clean up bowling pins after they've been knocked down, as the bot can be seen holding one such pin.

Unused S.T.A.F.F. Bots[]

Within the files, there is data for multiple unused S.T.A.F.F.

Crash Bot[]

CrashBotRender by OrangeIdol

One unused S.T.A.F.F. Bot is the Crash Bot. This bot is a yellow S.T.A.F.F. Bot that is modeled after a Crash Test Dummy. It is unknown where this might've been used, however it appeared to have been a prop in the sewers at some point, as a similar looking S.T.A.F.F. Bot can be spotted in one of Security Breach's earlier trailers. They can technically be found in-game, as when the player loads in the unused character gallery, a Crash Bot appears in it.

Caddy Bot[]

CaddyBotRender by OrangeIdol

The Caddy Bot is an unused S.T.A.F.F. Bot that was likely meant to appear in Monty's Gator Golf. They look identical to normal S.T.A.F.F., but wear a green apron, green plaid golf caps with a red bulb on top, and carry a green and purple golf-club bag on their back.

Fry Cook Bot[]

FryCookBotRender by OrangeIdol

The Fry Cook Bot is an unused S.T.A.F.F. Bot dressed as a Fry Cook. It looks identical to normal S.T.A.F.F., however it wears a light blue shirt with a pink collar, a white apron and a fry cook hat with a white and pink checkered pattern. The back of its shirt has a pink Pizzaplex logo on it. They do not appear anywhere in-game, and it is unknown what role they would have served.

Mime Bot[]

MimeBotRender by OrangeIdol

Another unused S.T.A.F.F. is the Mime Bot, who is colored with pale blue & dark blue accents. Its torso is black & white striped with pink lines that act as painted-on suspenders, and it's cheeks & wires are also colored pink. It is unknown what its role would have been in-game, though it is possible that it would have appeared as a third entertainer alongside the Magician and Comedy Bots.

Others[]

There are three other unused S.T.A.F.F., being the Sales Bot, Sentry Bot, and the Usher Bot. The Sales and Sentry Bot both hold unused dialog, but no models. Meanwhile the Usher Bot only holds unused textures, with no model or dialog. The Sales Bot was likely meant to be a vendor of some kind, however it is unclear what role the others would've had.

Beta Content[]

PotentialBetaStaffBot

Like previously mentioned, the Server Bot had an older design that looked identical to a base Staff Bot, but with a sombrero. However, featured within concept art for one of the Daycare Party rooms is a small bear-like animatronic that appears to be an older design for the Staff Bots; appearing to move around via a large wheel on the bottom of their body, as well as holding a serving tray.

Trivia[]

  • It's implied that there is a lack of human employees within the facility, as the S.T.A.F.F. Bots are seen as baristas & waiters, and even have their own backrooms dedicated to them.
    • Additionally, they hold the jobs of night patrol guards despite the presence of Vanessa, hinting more that the Pizzaplex has very few human staff.
  • It is unknown what the acronym "S.T.A.F.F." stands for.
  • Due to the S.T.A.F.F. Bots being voiced via text-to-speech, the credits jokingly claim that they are voiced by themselves.
    • This joke is continued in RUIN's credits, where their voice credit is changed to "Still Themselves".
  • The only S.T.A.F.F. to have a lethal jumpscare are the group of Nightmarionne S.T.A.F.F. in the pit.
    • The other S.T.A.F.F. variants that can jumpscare the player simply alert the Glamrocks to them or, in Map Bot's case, do nothing at all.
  • Despite appearing in multiple areas, only two S.T.A.F.F. Bots are ever active in RUIN, being Mask Bot and a random S.T.A.F.F. Bot stuck behind a shelf.
    • Both bots end up deactivating after their interactions with Cassie, however.
  • When including the unused and beta versions of S.T.A.F.F. Bots, there is a total of 34 different variants of S.T.A.F.F. bots.
