Fiona Murray was a character designer and puppeteer for Murray's Costume Manor, as well as the co-owner of its parent company Murray Co. alongside her husband, Edwin Murray. She worked at the company for a large portion of her adult life, and was very involved in making many of MCM's characters and designs. Fiona and Edwin would later have a son named David, but early into his life Fiona would tragically pass away.
She is also the canonical in-universe voice of Mrs. Helpful.
Appearance[]
Fiona is depicted as a cheerful woman with light skin and wavy brown hair that reaches to her shoulders. She has wide rosy cheeks with a big smile and a large nose. She is shown to have a slight gap between her upper central teeth, and she has pale blue eyes. While her outfits vary between depictions, she is always depicted wearing a pearl necklace, and more often than not depicted wearing warmer colors such as red or yellow.
Personality[]
Fiona is depicted as a very optimistic and heartfelt individual, caring deeply for the people in MCM and often encouraging others through Mrs. Helpful, and also acting as an encouraging voice of reason in Edwin's life. She's also portrayed as being extremely creative, with many character designs found throughout MCM being accredited to her, including ones such as the original iteration of Chica the Chicken, and the classic animatronics.
Despite her caring personality, Fiona is also shown to have a limit with how much she can handle, becoming exasperated with Edwin during moments in which he prioritizes his work over his family, and even going as far as to not tell him directly that she'll be attending Fall Fest due to his disapproval of her going.
History[]
Fiona began working at Murray's Costume Manor as a puppeteer where she would end up meeting Edwin Murray, who pulled her aside to use her voice for a project. Not long later the two would end up in a relationship and married, and would begin working as co-owners of Murray Co. after the passing of Edwin's father. In this new position, Fiona would find herself as the lead designer of most of MCM's projects, being in charge of character and costume designs. She would also act as a voice actress for many of MCM's own commercials, advertising products such as the Stay-Up-Latte coffee maker. At a time where Edwin was struggling, Fiona would encourage him to begin focusing on one project at a time; a sentiment that would eventually lead Murray Co. into massive success.
Shortly after taking over the company, Fiona and Edwin would have their son, David Sean Murray. Around David's first birthday, Fiona would make a puppet as a gift for him, though his young age coupled with Edwin's insistence with the doll would result in David being frightened by the puppet. Around David's second birthday, Edwin would begin work on a special project during the party, much to Fiona's annoyance.
At some point, Fiona and Edwin would have a disagreement regarding her attendance at Fall Fest, an event that MCM had done commissioned work for. Fiona would record a personal message to Edwin, explaining her desire to attend the event anyhow, having a strange feeling that urged her to go incase something bad happened. Unfortunately, her gut feeling was not unfounded, and Fiona would die in a sudden fire at the event.
Much later after her passing, David would be left confused as to why she isn't present at his birthday, with Edwin having to explain to the three year old that she was gone, but would always be with them in her own way, ending off his recording of the moment by looking at a picture of him and Fiona expressing how much he missed her. After this, Edwin would complete his project, M1, who would unexplainably begin mimicking Fiona, eventually adapting her entire identity and acting as a replacement for her in the eyes of Edwin.

- Edwin and Fiona Murray's voice actors, Jim and Tamra Meskimen, are also a married couple in real life.
- On top of this, the two also voice Mr. & Mrs. Helpful, who as their name suggests, are married characters. In-universe, Edwin and Fiona are also the respective voice actors of the Helpfuls.
- Unlike the other narrators or commercial characters, each of the characters Fiona voices in the commercials are labeled as "Fiona" by the subtitles.
- Despite the cartoon depictions of Fiona remaining mostly consistent to her design seen elsewhere, all of them are depicted with dirty blonde hair instead of Fiona's dark brown.
