Flashlight

The Flashlight is a vital in-game mechanic that returns in several game modes in Five Nights at Freddy's VR: Help Wanted and Five Nights at Freddy's AR: Special Delivery. It is used for shining dark areas to help the player to see better.

The flashlight appears in all levels in Dark Rooms section (except for the Funtime Foxy level, as it uses the Flash Beacon instead), Vent Repair section, and Night Terrors section.

Mechanic

The flashlight usually helps the player to see such dark areas better with the lighter display.

FNaF VR: Help Wanted

The flashlight in Dark Rooms are used for letting the animatronic stay put or be fended off from the player. In Funtime Foxy/Lolbit's level, the flashlight is replaced with a Flashbeacon, which can only be flashed once every few seconds before needing to recharge.

The flashlight in Vent Repair and Night Terrors is used to help the player see clearly. However, while the flashlight is not handheld or used by the player in the Circus Baby Night Terrors level, it is still used as a source of better viewing.

The flashlight plays a huge role in the gameplay of Special Delivery. It allows the player to see the room clearer, and also makes the static (which tells the player the location of the

animatronics) more visible.

It can also attract the light and dark remnants. It is also the main weapon to defend against RWQFSFASXC.

Trivia

• While the flashlight is a core and vital mechanic in FNaF 2, it is instead replaced by lights that automatically shines through the hallways.
