Appearance[]
Regular[]
Foxy is a large, animatronic pirate fox with red fur. He has a black nose with freckles in the same color on each side of his muzzle, which has a lighter crimson-tan color. This same color covers his chest and belly. He also has thin, dark red eyebrows, and a tuft of fur on the top of his head.
Foxy's eyes have yellow irises and black pupils, with a black eye patch covering his right eye. He has a black hook with a black rim replacing his right hand. Foxy's body is heavily damaged, sporting a number of tears on his torso and legs. His endoskeleton on his left hand, shins and feet are left completely exposed.
Captain Foxy[]
Captain Foxy looks exactly like the normal Foxy, however now dawns pirate attire. He wears a black pirate's hat with a logo featuring a skull and cross-bones with Foxy's head as a skull. He wears a large teal coat with gold buttons and shoulder pads. Finally, he features a large black belt with a golden buckle strapped around his chest underneath his coat.
Freddy in Space 2[]
Foxy is a fox with red fur. He only has one visible eye, which is yellow. His other eye is covered by a black eyepatch. He sports a green vest with a yellow stripe on it. One of his hands have been replaced with a hook, while the other has been replaced with a flamethrower. His legs are grey and metallic, implying they're cybernetic implants.
Five Laps at Freddy's[]
Foxy appears as a significantly more cartoony version of himself, with a large smile, no visible endoskeleton and dark rings around his eyes to mimic the look of the suits in the base game. The tears that usually appear on his body appear now as stitches, and his pants now reach to his ankles rather than his knees. He's seen with long whiskers at the end of his snout, and has a large bushy tail. Finally, he's seen wearing gold earrings and a purple bandana with the same pattern as his curtain in Pirate's Cove.
History[]
Foxy was built for the new Freddy Fazbear's Pizza in FNaF 1 after the older pizzeria bearing the same name from FNaF 2 is closed. Separated from the animatronic band, Foxy performs on Pirate Cove in the pizzeria. However, the Pirate Cove closed down due to unknown reasons, and Foxy started to rot due to being left unused.
As seen in the FNaF 2 minigames, after five children had been killed by William Afton, their souls were put into the animatronics by The Marionette, including Foxy. And since the killed children were reported missing, the pizzeria was closed down.
As shown in FNaF 3 minigames, William Afton then found out about the trapped souls inside the animatronics, and decided to come back to Freddy's and destroy them one by one. Foxy along with other animatronics are dismantled, which caused the souls to break free. Terrified by the spirits, William ran into the secret safe room in the restaurant and wear the Spring Bonnie suit to hide from them. However, the springlocks in the suit suddenly malfunctioned (possibly due to the rain seeping into the building), causing the locks to fail, resulting in his brutal death. Finally, the souls fade away.
In Special Delivery, a rebuild of Foxy is made by the Fazbear Entertainment for the Fazbear Funtime Service, along with other animatronics.
He also makes an appearance in The Freddy Fazbear Virtual Experience.

FNaF VR: Help Wanted[]
Five Nights at Freddy's 1[]

Foxy's jumpscare
Foxy is in three sections of the game. In Hardmode variants of the levels he appears in, he becomes either Dark Foxy or Burnt Foxy depending on the level.
FNaF 1[]
In the FNaF 1 office section, Foxy will sit in Pirate Cove, needing to be watched by the player to prevent him from rushing down the left hall. Should Foxy escape his cove, the player must quickly shut the left door before he arrives. Foxy also attacks the player if they attempt to walk too far or peak out of the office (VR version) or inspect the area outside the left door (non-VR version).
Foxy Repair[]
Foxy is also in a repair section. In this section, the player will follow the computer's voice instructions and repair Foxy, by putting his head on, putting his left eye back in, and replacing the power modules along his body. Should the player fail by giving him the wrong eye, dropping a power module, putting the wrong power module in, or looking too far away from Foxy, Foxy will leave his seat and soon rush at the player, jumpscaring them and ending their run.
Pirate Ride[]
Foxy's alter ego, Captain Foxy, appears at the beginning of Pirate Ride, giving the player a basic summary of the minigame, and informing them on how to help him on his "journey". He also appears as an illustration in different shooting areas, narrating the events of the story. If the player gets too low a score, Foxy will end their run with a jumpscare.
FNaF AR: Special Delivery[]

Foxy's jumpscare.
Foxy is one of the animatronics the player can encounter, though he is more rare than the other main four. He usually appears when the player has a streak of about 3-4 or higher. He will run around the player in circle, taunting the player. He will fake charge the player, only his eyes visible. He will often appear right in front of the player, twitching violently, and the player must quickly look away from him to avoid a jumpscare. When Foxy becomes visible during a charge, the player must shock him.
Freddy In Space 2[]

Foxy is one of the playable characters that can be unlocked by rescuing him in Lunar Mines level. His attack has low damage, low range, and low spread, thus Foxy isn't very good for combat. However, he has the highest jump height among all the playable characters, and is able to jump high enough to reach places that other characters are unable to reach. Foxy in Freddy in Space 2 also has a flamethrower, which can be upgraded through experience points (through the shop or fighting enemies).
FNaF: Help Wanted 2[]
Foxy, or more specifically Captain Foxy, returns in Help Wanted 2 with a similar level to his original Pirate Ride level in Curse of Dreadbear. In this level, Captain Foxy holds mostly the same role, introducing the player to the ride, narrating throughout the ride, and then judging the player's score at the end of the ride. Just like the original, if the player's score is too low, Captain Foxy will jumpscare them.

Trivia[]
FNaF VR: Help Wanted[]
- Foxy used to be in the Five Nights at Freddy's 2 challenge as well, and had the role of Withered Foxy. However, he was then removed from the challenge when the Withered Animatronics were officially added into the game.
- If the player closes the door in Five Nights at Freddy's 1 levels of Help Wanted when Foxy is coming, the player has to wait a few seconds before opening the door again, otherwise Foxy will get in the office anyway, unlike the original FNaF 1 when the player can open the door as soon as he starts knocking.
- Strangely in the non-VR version of Help Wanted, the player can somehow inspect the area outside the left door even when the door is closed, triggering Foxy's attack. However, Foxy will not actually attack the player, but instead knock on the door and drain the office's power as the door is closed.
- Despite not being in the main game, Foxy's voice actor, Chris McCullough, reprised his role for the Curse of Dreadbear DLC for the Pirate Ride minigame.
- On the Oculus Quest, Captain Foxy gained a unique jumpscare that he did not have previously, as originally, he had simply used Foxy's jumpscare.
FNaF AR: Special Delivery[]
- Despite wearing a suit, Foxy makes a sound as if he is lighter than a Bare Endo, showing no sign of weight when roaming or charging.
- Foxy and Circus Baby are the only characters to ever speak as they charge.
- Foxy mentions having a bird in one of his quotes, but he is never seen with a bird in any of the Five Nights at Freddy's games.
- However, some of the cutouts in the Pirate Ride from Curse of Dreadbear depicted him with a green parrot, which could imply that he had one at some point, likely prior to becoming out-of-order.
- Said parrot resembles that of Rockstar Foxy from Pizzeria Simulator.

Freddy In Space 2[]
- Despite being in space, Foxy is the one of the only playable characters that are not wearing a space suit.
- The others being The Puppet and Golden Freddy.
