Appearance[]

Funtime Freddy[]

Funtime Freddy is a metallic white animatronic bear with light purple accents on his stomach, snout, rings around his eyes, and shoulders. He has a slightly darker shade of purple in his ears, on his cheeks, kneepads, and the tops of his feet. He has eight teeth on his upper jaw, and ten on his lower jaw. He has two round squarish ears on either side of his head. His eyes are light blue with black pupils. He has thin black eyebrows and metallic eyelids. Like the other Funtime animatronics, his face is bisected down the middle and horizontally just beneath his eyes. Other parts of his body are segmented, mainly his torso and limbs. He wears a shiny black top hat with a dark purple strap around its rim and a matching black bow tie. Like Funtime Foxy, he has a round speaker on his chest, along with two black buttons running down to his torso. His left hand has five fingers, and a small black button on the back, and a purple pad on the palm. His right hand is usually replaced by his Bon-Bon puppet.

Bon-Bon[]

Bon-Bon is a small deep blue rabbit hand puppet, with big pinkish-purple eyes, small ears, and small paws. He has a lighter blue on his ears, muzzle, belly, and the accents of his paws. He has a small black nose and a black button on his torso beneath his big red bow tie. Due to being a hand puppet, Bon-Bon lacks legs, but can still move around short distances. Unlike most of the other funtimes, Bon-Bon lacks openable face plates.

Personality[]

Funtime Freddy is an energetic animatronic bear who enjoys entertaining children, while also having a rarely-expressed psychotic side. He speaks in a raspy voice with a crazy, hysterical tone. He also has an echo in his voice like a stereotypical robot, and also glitches since he is broken.

Bon-Bon's demeanor appears as the definite foil to his hand-puppeteer. Unlike Freddy, Bon-Bon is rather calm and often speaks in a feminine, high-pitched voice.

History[]

Funtime Freddy is one of the animatronics made by Afton Robotic LLC. He is one of the animatronic performers available for rental.

According to the blueprints in Sister Location, the Funtime Animatronics including Funtime Freddy are made by William Afton as a purpose to kill children.

To escape the facility, Funtime Freddy fused with other Funtime Animatronics and formed Ennard. They "scooped" out all of Michael Afton's organs from his body, and wore his skin to escape to the surface, until the skin rotted away, making it unusable.

Some time between Sister Location and Pizzeria Simulator, Circus Baby had a disagreement between other parts of Ennard, and thus is kicked out from the group. Funtime Freddy became the lead of the group, renaming himself as Molten Freddy.

Dark Rooms[]

Funtime Freddy has a minor appearance in the Lolbit level in Dark Rooms. He will appear as several still statues in the room. If the player touched them, the player will be jumpscared, resulting in game over.

Night Terrors[]

Bon-BonJumpscare

Bon-Bon's jumpscare.

Funtime Freddy appears in the first segment of Night Terrors, along with Bon-Bon and Bonnet. He will approach the player from either hallway, hiding once he's seen by the player. He may also get close to either door, noticable by his heavy breathing, at which point the player has to hold the corresponding door shut. In later hours of the night Bonnet may open the closet, after which Funtime Freddy can hide inside as a third entrance. Failure to deter him will result in a run ending jumpscare.

Bon-Bon appears in the first segment of Night Terrors, along with Funtime Freddy and Bonnet. He serves as distraction, by jumpscaring the player for a brief time, obscuring the player's view and helping Funtime Freddy to reach to the player.

FNaF AR: Special Delivery[]

FunFreddyARJumpscare

Funtime Freddy utilizes the new encounter system with the Diagnostic Repair Multitool, as well as a tag-team mechanic that has 2 phases within his battle. In the first phase, you go against Funtime Freddy, who acts very similarly to Freddy. Funtime Freddy has a significantly faster charge, but for the most part, his encounter is nearly identical to the original Freddy.

BonBonARJumpscare

Once shocking Funtime Freddy, he will send Bon-Bon after you. Bon-Bon has a very basic mechanic, only being able to charge, never haywiring or causing disruptions. Bon-Bon will also decloak at the last second, making it difficult to shock him. Shocking Bon-Bon will bring Freddy back into the battle. If Bon-Bon does a successful charge before Freddy's HP is all the way down, Freddy's HP will be restored. If Funtime Freddy's HP was fully drained, Bon-Bon will instead be the one to jumpscare the player. The encounter can only be won if Funtime Freddy's HP is fully drained and Bon-Bon is defeated.

FNaF: Help Wanted 2[]

Bonk a' Bon[]

In Bonk a' Bon, the player is sat in front of a wack-a-mole esc game where the goal is to bonk as many Bon-Bons and Bonnets as possible. Bon-Bon in particular acts as the most frequent enemy in the game, granting 1 point each time he's hit. Multiple Bon-Bons are also capable of appearing at a time.

Breaker Room[]

Funtime Freddy is featured as the primary antagonist of the minigame Breaker Room. The game acts as a homage to the second night of Sister Location, in which Funtime Freddy was an antagonist within the breaker room of Circus Baby's. The game features the player attempting to complete tasks whilst warding off Funtime Freddy from getting closer. Freddy moves slowly throughout the room, remaining hidden in the darkness for most of the game. To ward him off, the player must use a megaphone to play lines using Bon-Bon's voice that encourage Freddy to move back towards his stage. If the player fails to keep him at bay, he will jumpscare them.

Trivia[]

FNaF VR: Help Wanted[]

  • Funtime Freddy and Bon-Bon are two of the multiple Funtime animatronics who situated in the Bedroom rather than Circus Baby's Entertainment and Rental.
    • The other animatronics include Bonnet and Circus Baby.
    • This could be a reference to the easter egg in Sister Location showing that Circus Baby's Entertainment and Rental is beneath the FNaF 4 house.
  • The only time Bon-Bon is seen attached to Funtime Freddy is in the gallery.
    • This may be due to Bon-Bon's role of being a distraction for Funtime Freddy in their Night Terrors level.

FNaF AR: Special Delivery[]

  • Funtime Freddy's textures were grouped in the files for Ringmaster Foxy, hinting that he would appear in FNaF AR.
    • He was later added over a year later on December 23rd.
  • Within the files, Bon-Bon has a placeholder plushsuit & CPU that are not present in the game.
  • In their workshop animation, Bon-Bon will swing around Funtime Freddy's arms, moving with a more cartoonish style, utilizing a squash & stretch technique in their animations.
    • Bon-Bon remains to be the only animatronic to do this.
  • Many of Funtime Freddy's assets are doubled due to Bon-Bon having his own separate assets.
    • An example would be how the two both have separate profile icons, doubling the amount of icons the characters have due to Bon-Bon.
  • The doorbell sound plays everytime Bon-Bon swaps out with Funtime Freddy.
  • As of their addition, Funtime Freddy and Bon Bon are now holders of the fastest charge in the game.
    • Due to this, they are the only 2 characters that don't have charge speeds affected by remnant.

  1. In the FNaF Official Character Encyclopedia, on page 56, Bon-Bon is referred to as female. However this may be an error, as Bonnet's page in the same book claims that she is the first female variant of Bonnie.
