Jack-O-Bonnie is an antagonist of Five Nights at Freddy's 4: Halloween Edition and a returning character in Five Nights at Freddy's VR: Help Wanted's DLC pack, Curse of Dreadbear. His design is based on a jack-o-lantern and he is a non-canon reskin of Nightmare Bonnie.

Appearance[]

In FNaF VR, Jack-O-Bonnie's model is nearly identical to Nightmare Bonnie, the only differences being that he is an orangish-brown, has a hole where his nose should be, and is missing the endoskeleton in his head. The inside of his body glows a bright, fiery yellow.

In FNaF AR, Jack-O-Bonnie is a more reddish coloration rather than his usual orange. His left eye glows a whitish-orange, while his right eye doesn't glow.

Jack-O-Bonnie appears in Danger! Keep Out!, first appearing in Night 1. He serves a role similar to Bonnie's in FNaF 1. He will wander the pizzeria before approaching the player from the left. If the player does not notice him, he will begin breaking down the boards blocking the doorway. To prevent him from attempting to break down the door, the player must flash the door light at him. If he succeeds in breaking down the door, he will end the player's run in a jumpscare.

Pirate Ride[]

If the player goes off track from Foxy's pirate ride and enters the backstage areas, the player can find themselves in a set of strange rooms. Jack-O-Bonnie appears in some of these rooms. The player must hit the door button and close the door before he gets too close to avoid his attack and run ending jumpscare. To achieve high score, the player would need to risk the chance to hit all targets before closing the door.

Jack-O-Bonnie was added to FNaF AR: Special Delivery on October 15, 2020.

Jack-O-Bonnie is much more aggressive than his normal counterpart, with behavior much like his counterpart, Jack-O-Chica. Along with covering the screen in static, he will cover the player's screen in a cloud of smoke that will disable your shock button, forcing them to shake all of the smoke away before they can act again. When he haywires, the player must not be looking at his face, or else he will jumpscare them almost instantly. The player must look down and look away when he goes haywire. He will fake charge the player on different occasions, staying invisible. When Jack-O-Bonnie materializes during his charge, the player must shock him. Failure to shock him in time will result in a jumpscare.

Trivia[]

FNaF VR: Help Wanted[]

  • FNaF VR marks Jack-O-Bonnie's first canonical appearance.
BetaBonnies&Chicas

Jack-Os' alternate names in the file.

  • In the game file, Jack-O-Bonnie, along with Jack-O-Chica were given different names when in Pirate Ride. They were named Engine Bonnie and Engine Chica, as well as Security Bonnie and Security Chica. They were named as such so that they can differentiate them from Jack-O's in different locations.
    • The Jack-O's could sometimes spawn missing their textures and being one solid color. These same ones used the "Security Chica" and "Security Bonnie" names in the files.

FNaF AR: Special Delivery[]

  • Jack-O-Bonnie's mechanic is the exact same as Jack-O-Chica's.
  • Despite Jack-O-Chica arriving on a Friday, Jack-O-Bonnie arrived a day early on Thursday.
  • When entering, selecting and exiting CPU mode, Jack-O-Bonnie doesn't make a sound a single sound.
    • However, this issue was fixed on Oct. 16th
  • Jack-O-Bonnie's hidden CPU graphic uses the same color pattern as Jack-O-Chica's instead of the one his normal CPU graphic uses.
  • Originally, Jack-O-Bonnie's movements were completely silent, and this was thought to be intentional. However, as of October 16, 2020, a bug fix shows that it was not, as Jack-O-Bonnie received sound effects and was not intended to be silent while entering.
    • In the same bug fix, Jack-O-Bonnie received a new workshop animation.
  • Jack-O-Bonnie's workshop animation was reused for Bonnie's 4th skin, Melted Chocolate Bonnie.
