Nightmare Chica is an antagonist in Five Nights at Freddy's 4, and later returns in Five Nights at Freddy's VR: Help Wanted's DLC, Curse of Dreadbear. She is the nightmarish incarnation of Chica.
Appearance[]
Nightmare Chica[]
Nightmare Chica is a dirty yellow chicken animatronic with a large jaw featuring 2 sets of teeth. She has metallic eyeballs. Her left eye glows red with a white pupil, while the right is silvery and seemingly inactive. She has an orange beak, calves, and feet. She has a pair of nostrils on her upper beak, and her mouth is full of sharp, fanglike teeth. She has four "feathers" sticking out of the top of her head. Her upper and lower jaw are connected by long metallic bars. Her suit is heavily torn and damaged. She has a broad torso, with a tattered, dirty bib reading "Let's Eat!!!". Her hands have five, jointed fingers. Each finger ends in a sharp, metallic claw. Each of her feet has three toes.
Nightmare Cupcake[]

Nightmare Cupcake has a mouth of razor-sharp teeth and is seemingly autonomous. His eyes are orange with glowing white pupils. His frosting is slightly darker magenta in hue than usual. The candlestick is thin and pale brown in color with a large vinyl candle-light.
History[]
Based on the original version of Chica the Chicken, Nightmare Chica was one of the seven Nightmare Animatronics that appeared in Five Nights at Freddy's 4. Their background history are currently still a mystery.
In Help Wanted, Nightmare Chica made her appearance in The Freddy Fazbear Virtual Experience along with the other Nightmare Animatronics.

Hallway Crawl[]
Nightmare Chica appears in Spooky Mansion, Hallway Crawl, where she appears from the right doors. The player must stop before reaching the door Chica is coming out of to avoid being seen. Standing too close to the door will result in a run-ending jumpscare.
FNaF AR: Special Delivery[]
Nightmare Chica was confirmed to be planned for the game, as her name and data is listed within text in Special Delivery's files. However, Nightmare Chica would never be implemented into the game.

FNaF VR: Help Wanted[]
- Similar to Nightmare Freddy, their companions debuted before the base character was formally introduced.
- Nightmare Chica's third row of teeth is missing, similar to the case in Ultimate Custom Night.
- The same goes for Jack-O-Chica.
