Nurse Dollie, or simply just Dollie, is a doll-based nurse animatronic described as a "recycled auto-mation" and is stationed in the Murray's Costume Manor Recycling wing. Her duties include guarding this area, as well as attending to animatronic patients, and collecting time cards for MCM employees. She is one of many Mimic-controlled antagonists present in Five Nights at Freddy's: Secret of the Mimic.
Appearance[]
Normal[]
Dollie appears as a humanoid animatronic with pale skin, large teal eyes and thin, curly brown hair. She has dull red-orange lipstick with matching cheeks, thick curved-eyebrows, and a large hinged jaw with big, round, rosy cheeks. Her face also holds a large thin seam down the middle. Dressed as a nurse, Dollie wears a small white nurse's cap with a teal Star of Life on it, a teal, knee-length apron with a matching white Star of Life on it, a white buttoned shirt underneath, and a small brown name-tag reading "Dollie" in white writing. Her limbs are the same color as her face, with her arms having long yellow tubs connecting to a large power bank on her back, with shocker buttons on both her hands. Her legs on the other hand have white socks on their lower half and large black shoes. The joints on her limbs, unlike other animatronics in the series, appear to be connected with rubber accordion-type coverings rather than the usual exposed endoskeleton joints. Finally, she is attached to a small, circular metal platform that glides along a rail system.
After breaking off of her rail system, Dollie becomes noticeably more damaged, gaining small scuffs all over her body, tears in her apron, and most notably, the bottom halves of her suit being ripped off entirely, revealing her endoskeleton feet underneath.
Molten[]
After falling into and subsequently breaking out of a large smelting pool, Dollie's body is severely damaged by the lava. Molten metal drips from her face and legs, and her apron has been nearly completely burnt off, with the remaining portions of it being charred. Her hair has been either mangled or burnt off, and the entire right side of her face has begun to melt off as well, with the left side glowing bright and dripping. Finally, the tubes on her arms have been completely burnt off, and are entirely absent.
Gameplay[]
The player first encounters Dollie after the stage they were performing on crashes and knocks them out. Dollie is seen in a nurse's office and explains to whom she believes is Captain Springlock, that the organic material stuck inside him, aka the player, will be ground up and removed. After Dollie slides away on a rail, the player encounters her mere moments later where a pre-recorded message from Edwin Murray explains that Dollie is made of recycled material. After she slides away again, Dollie becomes a threat the player, sliding around on her rail and attempting to ram into them. The player can avoid this by getting off the rails, but they make up most of the player's path forward. Dollie roams on a set path along the rails, and won't actively pursue the player even if the player is technically in her line of sight. If Dollie rams into the player, she will jumpscare them.
Once the player finds the hand crank and gear used to allow them to pass through a sealed doorway, they make it into a new room where Dollie suddenly appears, detached from her rail platform. She will then proceed to pursue the player on-foot, roaming around the small costume room the two are in. While roaming, Dollie will walk slowly, speeding towards the player when she notices them. As the player is avoiding Dollie, they must find multiple clumps of mascot costume scraps and deposit them into recycling chutes. Once the player has done this enough times, the player must head down to the conveyor belt to a large molten furnace. Dollie will drop onto this belt and attempt to walk towards the player against it, to which the player must go to and pull multiple levers connected to the chutes to send out the scraps onto the belt which will then knock Dollie backwards until she eventually falls into the smelting pit. As she falls, she will grab onto the doorway to try and climb back onto the belt, in which the player must push one final button to shut the door on her, causing her to fall.
After a few moments of peace, as the player descends in an elevator, Dollie will suddenly push and melt through the wall of the smelting pit, coming out twisted and glowing from the burning magma, before then once again pursuing the player in a chase through the lower section of the recycling facility. After avoiding her initial chase, she will then proceed to once again roam the surrounding area in search of the player, charging them once she spots them. Once the player makes it to a new exit elevator, Dollie will charge the door before it shuts on her. After having to repair the elevator after it briefly stopped, the player is then met with Dollie crashing down onto the elevator's roof and begin banging on it, forcing the player to fix the elevator once again. Once the player has done this, the elevator will speed upwards and the Mimic will exit the Dollie suit just before the elevator slams it against the roof, ending Dollie for good.
Speculation[]
Dollie, in both name and appearance, appears to hold many similarities to Jackie, having a hinged jaw, a seam down the face, and a name ending in "ie". As well as this, the pre-recorded message from Edwin that introduces Dollie, as well as a line from one of the Mr. Helpfuls, implies that there were many other recycled auto-mation animatronics, which could point to Jackie being one made explicitly for entertainment rather than busywork like Dollie was made for. Though this all currently remains unconfirmed.
Trivia[]
- Despite most characters being either confirmed or implied to be controlled by the Mimic within the game, Dollie is the only suit who the player directly sees the Mimic exit, as every other body is abandoned by the endoskeleton off-screen.
- As implied by Edwin and Mr. Helpful, Dollie is seemingly not the only animatronic of her type, with other Dollie units being planned and potentially made.
- This could explain why some artwork depicts Dollie as having darker skin, as the other Dollie models potentially could've looked different to the one the player encounters.
- One of Dollie's many lines whilst inhabited by the Mimic is "No disassemble" which could be a reference to a line directly said by a robot known as Johnny Five from the film Short Circuit, who bares some resemblance to the Mimic's design.
