Phantom Mangle is a secondary antagonist/hallucination in Five Nights at Freddy's 3, who is a returning character that appears in Five Nights at Freddy's VR: Help Wanted.

Phantom Mangle's model is identical to Mangle's appearance in Five Nights at Freddy's 2, the only differences coming from its texture. It is now appear dark greenish and heavily charred, with black scalera and glowing white eyes.

Five Nights at Freddy's 3[]
Phantom Mangle makes its appearance on the FNaF 3 segments. Phantom Mangle's behavior differs drastically from the original game. It can appear in the vent cameras, and if the player does not switch away, Phantom Mangle will jumpscare them and cause a ventilation error.
Trivia[]
- Help Wanted is the first game where Phantom Mangle now jumpscares compared to the last two games it appeared on where it would just slide up and screech.
- It is also where Phantom Mangle's full model is showcased, similar to its original counterpart.
- Phantom Mangle's mechanics are much different in the original Five Nights at Freddy's 3. It would appear exclusively on CAM 4, and the player would have to quickly change cameras. Should the player fail to switch cameras quick enough, Phantom Mangle would appear in the window and screech, causing an audio error.
- This makes Phantom Mangle the only character in the FNaF Challenges in VR that has a completely different mechanic.
