Phone Guy (not to be confused with Phone Dude in Five Nights at Freddy's 3) is a former security guard of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza / employee of Fazbear's Fright. He made his appearance in prerecorded calls in FNaF 1 and FNaF 2, as well as old training tapes he'd recorded playing in FNaF 3. He acted as a minor antagonist in Ultimate Custom Night. He then returns in Five Nights at Freddy's VR: Help Wanted, reprising his role from the first three games.

In Help Wanted, Phone Guy appears in FNaF 1, FNaF 2, and FNaF 3 challenges. He tutorials the player on how to survive through the nights, and explains the backstory of the Freddy Fazbear locations.
There are 2 Phone Guys in the game. The one that appears in FNaF 1 and 2 challenges was the former security guard of the Freddy Fazbear locations, and was killed by an unknown animatronic in Night 4 of FNaF 1. He also appears in the training tapes played in Night 2 to 6 of FNaF 3. The other one was nicknamed Phone Dude due to his accent. He was one of the employees of Fazbear's Fright, and only appears on Night 1 and 2 of FNaF 3.
