“ | Hello, hello? Uh, I wanted to record a message for you to help you get settled in on your first night. | ” |
— Phone Guy, FNaF 1 segment.
|
Ralph[1], more commonly known as Phone Guy, is a former security guard of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. He made his appearance in prerecorded calls in the first three FNaF games, and even acted as a minor antagonist in Ultimate Custom Night. He returns in Five Nights at Freddy's VR: Help Wanted, reprising his role from the first three games. He also makes an appearance as an easteregg in FNaF: Into the Pit.
A second Phone Guy, nicknamed Phone Dude by fans due to his accent, appears in the starting two nights of Five Nights at Freddy's 3 as an employee of Fazbear's Fright, and much like Phone Guy, returns to reprise his original role in Help Wanted.
About[]
FNaF: Help Wanted[]
In Help Wanted, Phone Guy appears in FNaF 1, FNaF 2, and FNaF 3 challenges. He tutorials the player on how to survive through the nights, and explains the backstory of the Freddy Fazbear locations. Phone Guy was killed by an unknown animatronic in Night 4 of FNaF 1. He also appears in the training tapes played in Night 2 to 6 of FNaF 3. Meanwhile, Phone Dude only appears on Night 1 and 2 of FNaF 3, swapping his role with tapes he had found of Phone Guy which he'll play from Night 2 onward rather than speaking to the player.
FNaF: Into the Pit[]
Phone Guy appears as an optional easter egg each night who talks to who he believes to be the current night shift worker. Each night he'll discuss the animatronics' behavior and giving advise to the supposed guard. On the final night he'll comment on how most don't usually last a full week and tells them that if they want to move onto other things, then they should be sure to leave a note for the next guy.
