The Security Mask is an advanced mask that allows the user to enter the interface of the Virtual Augmented Neural Network Integration, otherwise called the V.A.N.N.I. Network. It is a major mechanic used in the Security Breach DLC, RUIN. It is given to the player by Mask Bot.
Appearance[]
The Security Mask is a small rabbit mask with an extremely similar design to the Reluctant Follower's mask from Help Wanted's Curse of Dreadbear DLC, being a white rabbit mask with a buck-toothed smile, red eyes and a large spot over the left side of the face, and bottom side of the left ear. Unlike the original mask, the spot is brown rather than gray. The inside of the mask is a dark gray, metallic look, with multiple glowing red dots going across in lines. A small metallic frame near the bottom end is screwed into the mask, and multiple yellow wires in between the frame and the mask itself.
Functionality[]
The primary functionality of the Security Mask is being able to enter the AR World, and explore the location through it. The interface of the mask is operated by Helpi, who is able to communicate with users of the mask even when they aren't wearing it due to a transponder implant the mask inserts into new users. The AR world is mostly the same as the regular world, with some exceptions. Certain objects within the world obtain a wireframe look and can be passed through, while other objects, pathways and areas will be blocked off by glowing purple walls. Objects that are only intractable in the AR World have a glitch effect put on them in the real world so that the player knows where to look for pathways and Security Nodes. The mask can only be used in certain areas of the game, some of which are controlled by AR Inhibitors. The Entity will attack the player if they wear the mask for too long.
AR Inhibitors[]

An AR Inhibitor.
AR Inhibitors are small devices that The Entity uses to prevent Cassie from wearing, or in most scenarios removing, the Security Mask. When they are activated Cassie must quickly locate them and deactivate them so that the mask can be worn/removed.
Collectibles[]
- See Main Page Collectibles for more info.
Whilst in the AR world, Cassie is able to find multiple AR collectables which sit in large, green, pixelated boxes. These collectables mirror ones that were in the base game, but a select few are exclusive to the AR set, such as ones relating to the Daycare Attendant, as well as Glamrock Bonnie.
Security Nodes[]
- See Main Page Faz-Wrench for more info.
Within the AR world are multiple Security Nodes that Cassie needs to deactivate to get to Gregory. Security nodes can be deactivated once all their connected child nodes are deactivated. Child Nodes are identified by select objects in the map that glow red in the AR world. Once all the child nodes are deactivated, the parent node can be deactivated via a small connecting puzzle. All nodes are only visible in the AR world.

Trivia[]
- When looking at Roxanne while wearing the mask, her arm and face become repaired. Roxanne is the only animatronic whose physical appearance changes when the mask is worn.
- Freddy is not viewable when wearing the mask, and Freddy by extension cannot locate the player when the mask is on.
- This could explain why Freddy needed Roxanne's eyes to see Vanny, as her suit could've had the V.A.N.N.I. Network programmed into it, preventing Freddy from seeing her normally.
- The in-game render for the mask strangely has a few errors, such as the stitching on the brown spot, or the lack of a spot on the left ear.
- The inclusion of brown spots on the mask is likely due to many fans mistaking the gray spots on the original for brown, due to the style of the textures.
