Withered Chica the Chicken, more simply known as Withered Chica, is an antagonist of Five Nights at Freddy's 2, who is a returning character that appears in Five Nights at Freddy's VR: Help Wanted. She is the damaged original incarnation of Chica.

Appearance
Withered Chica is a badly damaged counterpart of Chica. She is a dirty yellow with an orange beak and feet. Like the other Withered Animatronics, her design is drastically different to her original counterpart. She has pinkish purple eyes, permanently wide open. Her jaw is stuck popped open, her endoskeleton mouth clearly visible among a mess of wires. A few bars hold the jaw in place. She has four feathers on the top of her head. She wears a dusty bib reading "Let's Eat!!!" with confetti sprinkled on it. She has two withered arms, permanently stuck in a t-pose. Her hands are missing, with wires pouring out in their place. She has orange, three toed feet with white nails. Her legs are tattered as well. She seems to be incapable of lowering her arms below the t-pose position.
History
Withered Chica used to be one of the performers in The Freddy Fazbears's Pizza shown in the second game. However, after William used the Spring Bonnie suit to lure children into the backroom, the restaurant temporarily closed down and opened as the New Freddy Fazbear's Pizza is opened, To make sure this does not happen again, Withered Chica was been decommissioned and replaced by Toy Chica.
Withered Chica also appeared in The Freddy Fazbear Virtual Experience.
Behavior
FNaF VR: Help Wanted
Five Nights at Freddy's 2
Withered Chica appears in the Withered level in the Hardmode of Five Nights at Freddy's 2 gameplay section. She will approach the player from the right vent, then enter the room, causing the lights to flicker. The player must quickly put on the Freddy mask to make her leave the room. Failure to put on the mask quickly will result in a jumpscare.
Trick-or-Treat
Withered Chica also appears in the "Trick-or-Treat" minigame in the Spooky Mansion section along with the other Withered Animatronics. After the player rings the bell, she'll walk around the house with the others. If she disappears from the player's view at the end, it means she is standing at the door, and the player must wear the Chica mask before she is revealed. Failing to do so or equipping a different mask will result in a jumpscare.
Trivia
FNaF VR: Help Wanted
- Similar to other Withered Animatronics, Withered Chica was only added in an update of Help Wanted after the Withered level was added into the FNaF 2 challenge.
- Withered Chica is one of the two animatronics featured in the Curse of Dreadbear title screen, the other being Withered Bonnie.
